Is she not listed any where else? Are they still working on her NamUs profile?

Charley Project has a Paulette Webster and Paulette Susan Jasper. No Paulette Walker.

I haven't found anything else, but I'm no experienced sleuther like y'all. Help! ;)

Copied my post from NV - NV - Clark Co, WhtFem UP9129, 25-65, in desert area, metal crucifix & glasses, May'89

NV - NV - Paulette Walker, 23, Las Vegas, March 1984

BBM and snipped.

Last known contact with family was a postcard sent to her father in Winnebago, Nebraska. It was post dated March 16, 1984 (the day before her 24th birthday).

Months before the postcard, Paulette left Iowa

#

First, she was born on St. Paddy's day! :)

How many months before the postcard arrived did she leave Iowa? I may have missed it but has it been comfirmed that she is in fact the person who sent the card?

Did she know anyone else in Vegas, Cali., or other locations besides Iowa? Did she mention anyone or any where else she'd been or planned to go? What kind of work was she looking for or was involved in (e.g., modeling, acting, service industry, sex trade, travel agent)? Any location interests besides the BFs area that she would have been trying to traveling toward?

Just trying to see where else we might can search for her to help rule her and this UID in or out.

Meanwhile as I finish up my postSssss on UID312 and Paulette...

Has anyone previously considered this UID as a match with Paulette?

Ruleouts: Katharina Kiszonak of Clark County NV and Elizabeth Rogers from North Carolina.

There's a good picture of the necklace and glasses.

This caught my eye. Clothing near the body, Very faded, torn, fragmented pair of blue jeans labeled "Branded Lion", waist 22"-23"

That's an awfully small waist for an adult woman, especially if the estimated height of 5'5" is accurate.

Good point! ;) I certainly hadn't paid attention. Ty.

US Regular Sizes -
maybe an x-small?

Children's size chart -
Xs 4-6 toddler

The recovery of a crucifix with the remains may also point towards this individual as the victim.

Many native tribes from both Minnesota and other parts of the upper Midwest (Winnebagos in Nebraska) had early and long contact with French 'Voyageurs' explorers and Catholic missionaries.

This has resulted in many members of the tribes, perhaps even a majority, being Catholic today. Crucifixes (crosses with the body of Christ) are more likely to be worn by Catholics than by Protestants.

Likewise a Native American tribal member of mixed Amerindian and European background could show European skeletal characteristics and be identified as 'white'.

wondering...Could you possibly wear them using a rope, string, belt, etc. to fasten them rather than button, snap, zipper, etc.? I'd never ever be able to answer that--I think my baby pampers were bigger than those. I'll ask mom. :p:D

Aaumptions -
Jeans fit.
Jeans are hers.
Not torn at waist area.?.

Any other thoughts?

This was my first thought too. I’m just shy of 5’3” and weigh between 95-105 lbs. I’ve always been skinny but I have never seen a waist of 22-23. That is tiny.

Below is copied from my reply to Coffee56's post on UID9129's thread.

Locating the missing Facebook site did an update about 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure it's allowed to post it here? If not sorry upfront.

I have been working with the family and within 24hours we were able to locate someone who we are very positive is Paulette. The family is doing DNA to make confirmation 100%.

She's not in Namus, yet.

It’s possible the address is 201 S. 6th Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101. There appears to be a “Residential Hotel” at that address that has been there since 1932.

Thank you. Not finding the address, thinking it didn't exist, was complicating things a lot.

A follow-up was posted just a few hours ago. I hope it’s OK to post here as it is very informative. If not, I apologize in advance, and ask that it be deleted.

“7/8/2019- UPDATE:
As of now we are still waiting on DNA to confirm our original findings on 2/4/2019. We are 99% sure we found Paulette but the DNA process takes a while. I'm sure some will ask what did we find, I know a lot of people are waiting for updates daily.
A family member and I worked extremely hard to locate Paulette, I mean we stayed up all night and day. I realized I'm to old to do that but it was so worth it and I would do it again daily if needed.
*IF* DNA comes back a positive match Paulette was murdered 12/23/1986 in CA. The homicide detective will not release the who, where, and why details at this time. However when I spoke with the examiner that handle Paulette's body in 1986 he did advise me she was in "good condition", please don't ask me what that means. Paulette was buried in a cemetery, she will be exhumed once DNA is confirmed.
I'm sure some are wondering why I'm calling the deceased Paulette. Upon our search I was able to track the deceased down using many measures. Here's why we call her Paulette, get ready for this y'all. 35YEARS unsolved, unclaimed, so many unknowns for MP and deceased and we rocked out in 24hours.
Deceased and MP have the same first name, Native American, same DOB, I ran the social and all the same information linked to ss#, the ONLY thing different was the last name. The deceased had the same last name as MP boyfriend at the time she went missing in 1984, Walker was Paulette's maiden name.....y'all see where this is going. After double checking, making calls, and putting facts together this is why we are pretty sure we found Paulette. I'm just really amazed in 35years PD never put this all together, while this is a huge accomplishment we are so excited the family will finally have closer.”
Locating The Missing

As to PD not putting the two and two together all these years, perhaps the missing persons report was lost somewhere along the way, especially since the case seems to have involved multiple jurisdictions: Freeborn, MN; Iowa; Las Vegas; Winnebago, NE; California. And as for CA, no one even knew for sure Paulette even made it there.

I do wonder if the local LE in CA have known the murder victim’s DOB and SSN since the beginning, or the information was somehow discovered during recent research.

Also, one of the commenters under the post linked above, JL-W, has been posting on another missing persons Facebook I follow, and she is apparently Paulette’s niece. It sounds like she is the driving force behind reviving the search for Paulette, which is really cool, IMO.

The abusive ex is now deceased. Died in 1998, age 51 from a heart ailment. He had quite a list of offences, drugs, assault, arson...
