Speaking of looks......

'Make Me Look Sexy,' Donald Trump Jr. Asks Court Artist

Nov. 2, 2023

Donald Trump Jr. Wanted a 'Sexy' Court Sketch. Here's the Final Result

View attachment 458094

I was just talking about DT Jr.'s comment about making him look sexy (which is near to impossible even for the finest artist IMO ;) ).
It seems so strange that when there is a possiblility of jail time for him and his family, he would make light of the proceedings.
Not a good look IMO junior.

UPDATE: Law clerk Allison Greenfield did not violate ethics rules with her $500 political campaign donations, legal experts told @Law360
citing exceptions that allow her to pay for tickets to events as she seeks her own Manhattan judgeship.

The Office of Court Administration had this to say about Brock Fredin’s complaint:“The Court is in receipt of a 72-page complaint from an individual from Wisconsin and will address it as we deal with any such complaint,” said Al Baker, comms director.

Ironic: The complaint cited in Breitbart’s clerk story, sent by Wisconsin man Brock Fredin (he made the anti-clerk post Trump reposted, resulting in 1st gag order) cites a taped J. Engoron proceeding on YouTube that *he appears to have recorded*… in violation of court mandate.

Wait a minute! The "something is fishy about the clerk" messaging was posted by someone deceptive? And the GOP front-runner for president re-posted it? And people found it more credible than the truth?

Huh. Imagine that.

Trump, and his "kids" are not even disputing the facts that have already convicted the company of fraud, they are simply saying it wasn't their responsibility.

Both son's evidence was a disaster. Donald Junior actually said "rinse and repeat", when asked about documents containing falsehoods which he signed in consecutive years. (Can you imagine?)

Eric admitted on the stand that the financial benefits towards convicted felon Weisselberg from the company were dependent upon him not giving information to adversarial parties, which, Eric conceded, included the AG office.

Their lawyer's are bumbling idiots, whose main job seems to be being Trump's mouthpiece. ("Attack the law clerk, do it!")

I'm so worried that Ivanka might not be able to find suitable childcare, mid week and all. Who wouldn't want to testify to support their family, if they thought they were being wrongly accused?

(Of course, Trump didn't bother to turn up to support "his kids" either, even though they both probably needed some cookies and milk after their ordeal)

I must admit to a degree of meaness in my anticipation of Trump taking the stand. Will he pound the desk, try to walk out, what will he do? It's almost a given that he won't be well prepped, it's going to be gold! (I have read some commentators opine that he won't testify, that he is too big a coward, and I guess that might be so, but how can he get out of it?)

My guess would be that if he didn't show up to take the stand, that could be viewed negatively in civil court, and the benefit goes to the plaintiff. I don't think it would serve his case to be a no-show. But, honestly, that is a guess on my part.

I suppose we'll learn more in the coming week, if he indeed doesn't show up (which I think is a possibility).

Donald Trump has testified in court as a football owner, casino builder and airline buyer. He bragged in a deposition that he saved “millions of lives” by deterring nuclear war as president. Another time, he fretted about the dangers of flung fruit.

[...]

Trump has testified in court in at least eight trials since 1986, according to an Associated Press review of court records and news coverage. He also has been questioned under oath in more than a dozen depositions and regulatory hearings.

[...]

Those testimonies, captured in thousands of pages of transcripts and some on videotape, offer clues to the approach Trump is likely to take when he testifies in Manhattan.

[...]

On the stand in a boxing-related case in 1990, Trump described a Mike Tyson fight he planned for one of his casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey, as “one of the greatest rematches you could have.” Accused by two men of cutting them out of a riverboat gambling project, Trump professed ignorance, testifying in 1999: “I was shocked by this whole case. I had no idea who these people were.”

Trump was briefly called to the witness stand in the New York case last month to explain comments outside of court that the judge said violated a limited gag order.

Before that, he last testified in a courtroom in 2013, two years before launching his winning presidential campaign. An 87-year-old suburban Chicago widower had sued him over changes to contract terms for a hotel and condominium tower she had bought units in as an investment. Trump grew increasingly agitated as his testimony wore on, at one point raising his arms and bellowing: “And then she sued me. It’s unbelievable!”

[...]

“Based on my experience with him, you better be able to have super tight questions, with documents to support them, so that he cannot wiggle around,” Kulwin added. “I would approach the judge and have him admonished before he even got on the stand: ‘Mr. Trump, this is not a political campaign. These people, you’re not trying to get their vote. This is a judicial proceeding.’”
