Giuffre v. Maxwell was supposed to be today but Maxwell and Doe appealed to the 2nd circuit and that hasn’t been heard yet. I think that will be heard next week but I’m not sure

Thanks for this. I was posting while you were. :)

ETA: Here’s the link explaining what was going on prior to the delay today.

You da best ITD. I'm following the case, but I can't bring myself to read many of the articles on this thread--the headlines and snippets are enough to turn my stomach. I follow very few SA and murder cases on children/minors.
Queen @Lilibet took care of the task. :)

Makes me very mad - and nervous - that things are not going on the up and up with this case. He has nothing to offer another inmate while in jail unless someone is supplying him with ways to bribe, influence, etc. Please don't let this be corrupt.

Especially since this was the only prisoner questioned about the incident this morning.

I think we need to steel ourselves for this "Mr Toads Wild Ride".

This is just the beginning of the beginning. To free everyone up for alternatives, I'm going a. conspiracy, names don't want to be named.

Media is a good source for shallow news, but, imo, not a trusted source for real facts.

I want to believe, b. he's a coward and wants an upgrade without the points, c. bad cop wants to mess with the entitled pedo because he can.

Too many big players, big money, too many snooping in his bizness and palaces of cards.

Epstein has so much information on Very Important People

I’d suspect a hit, not suicide. Not him

For now I'm going with him faking injuries as evidence to argue for his original request for house arrest.

I hope he is still alive until sentencing...for the sake of his victims. They deserve to see him sentenced to many years in prison. Of course his complicit friends would prefer he’s dead and probably can arrange for an “accident” in prison. Or even in the hospital where he was taken. I hope he’s under heavy guard.

Jeffrey Epstein has been found injured in his jail cell in what is being described as a suspected suicide attempt.

The accused sex trafficker was recently denied bail and is being held in a New York City federal jail.

Staff found Epstein lying semiconscious on the floor of his cell in the foetal position, according to NBC.

I hope he is closely monitored so he doesn’t kill himself. I can’t get my head around what he has allegedly done how did he think he would get away with it all? Did he think his money and connections with powerful people made him invincible?

Unfortunately, his money and power kept him insulated until July of 2019. Not only do I think that he believed he was invincible but I think his "friends" and fellow abusers did as well.

He tried to "kill himself" because his lawyers and their cronies are not able to buy their way through the system this time. SDNY is very powerful. Dershowitz and the others who brokered his former deals know that this case will be in the sunlight unlike the last one.

Now he will be watched like a hawk.... rodents and bad food are the least of his problems.

Epstein back in cell on suicide watch
Good. I was just going to post that I'm not happy he's in a hospital room. Not that I don't want an injured person not to get care, but because I don't trust him and could envision an escape or having the opportunity of finding someone to help him later.

He belongs in a cell.

I also think he thinks he is invincible. And with the tangled web of influential people that are vulnerable right now, I think he still has shady connections who might be doing what they can to assist him. Yuck.

The only thing giving me hope that he will be treated like the criminal he is - is that the whole world is watching. Florida somehow happened without much attention, but this time, all eyes are on New York.
