“Despite the psychiatrist advising to the contrary, she was deemed a suicide risk and they are continuing to wake her up every 15 minutes in the night. It’s a complete violation of prisoner rights and human rights,” Ian Maxwell said.

So they fear for her safety, yet think it's violating her human rights to check on her every 15 minutes?

Ian Maxwell really needs to keep his thoughts to himself. His sister, the convicted felon, is not a victim of anything other than her own willful behavior. If he has concerns, perhaps he should address the prison, and not the press.

After my week-long first meetings with her, I received word that a US prosecutor, Ann Marie Villafana, was trying to reach me. She told me when I called that she had heard I was talking to Virginia.

'The FBI would like to fly to Sydney to interview her,' she said.

She agreed to meet two FBI agents. Michael Thomas and I drove her and her husband to the US Consulate in Sydney.

We weren't allowed to accompany Virginia inside, but she told us she confirmed the account she had given us and handed them her collection of snaps, including the print we had copied showing her with Maxwell and the Prince.

They handed it back to her after making a scan.

Since that day there has been much speculation about what happened to what has been dubbed the 'original' photograph.

To the best of my knowledge, she still has it. I've never heard anything about her destroying it.

A redacted court document reportedly shows that she gave 20 photos to the FBI in 2011 and they were scanned front and back. But there are only 19 shown in a public record of the meeting.

The FBI assigned sequential reference numbers to both the front and back of each photo. But two reference numbers – 03956 9431 and 03956 9432 – are missing from the publicly available document.

Panorama was told those two numbers are for the front and back of the Andrew photo and that it was removed from the public document to protect his privacy.

The lawmen refused to tell me their verdict on the picture. 'But if she faked it, they'd have indicted her a long time ago for perjury,' I was told by a source familiar with the probe.

And having personally been instructed how to conduct suicide watch prevention checks when there were prison strikes in late 80’s and early 90’s in U.K. prisons, Operation Container was introduced throughout the country whereby prisoners were held on remand in police custody cells as opposed to prison cells for months at a time so we had to complete this training for the role and you don’t actually wake them up every 15 minutes but you check that they are still alive without any article or materials nearby that can be used as a ligature and you check that they are breathing and if I’m doubt , check their pulse . So you don’t actually make them get up and be fully awake for the checks to be done . Mr Maxwell seems to want it both ways!!!!
