OH OH - Akron, WhtMale 30-55, UP16005, in burned vacant house, clothes, keys, coins, Jan'16

I did a little research and the brand of key found with the body is a very specific type of key sold by a German company.
ABUS is a German manufacturer of preventative security technology as well as a market leader in bike locks.

If the victim was homeless as suggested by his clothing, I wonder if this could have been over somebody wanting his bike?

Great info Knozzmoeking. I see that company also sells pad locks: ABUS Locks German-Designed High Quality Security Products

I wonder if the key might have gone to a storage unit lock or private shed with a padlock on it.

The man's skull was found outside an abandoned two-story house at 1345 Marcy Street on January 8, 2016.

Additional remains were later found inside the home, which had been damaged in a fire in 2012.
"Someone out there knows who this man was, and we are all very hopeful that someone will see this model and notice a resemblance to a missing friend or family member," said Attorney General Mike DeWine.
The “John Doe” is believed to have been a Caucasian male between 30 and 55 years old.
He was estimated to be about 5'9" tall, but his weight, hair, and eye color are unknown.

Items such as hairstyle are the artist's estimations to complete the image and should not be considered significant markers for identification.
Several items were found with the remains, including clothing, a belt, black shoes, and keys. More information and photographs can be found in this BCI Criminal Intelligence Unit public bulletin, which was issued to all law enforcement agencies in the state today.

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A digital forensic facial reconstruction of a man whose skull was found sitting on the sidewalk in front of an abandoned home in Akron was released Thursday.

Representatives from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and Summit County Medical Examiner Dr. Lisa Kohler were at the news conference said they hope the new information will lead to the identity of the victim.
