    PIKE COUNTY, Ohio —

A town woke up one morning to the horror that eight people were brutally killed. The Rhoden family suffered an unthinkable loss eight times over on one late April night in 2016. And years would go by before an arrest was made, and the massacre of an entire family still haunts Pike County, Ohio to this day. The murders of the Rhoden family still haunt small Ohio community

Minors: You may discuss what is covered in the main stream media regarding the custody of minor children. If posting snips from articles regarding the children please redact their names. These babes are innocents. One day they will google their names or those of their parents. And plenty will come up. Let's be respectful of them and the catastrophic loss they have suffered at such tender ages. Thanks.

Doing so does not make them some kind of outcast and we welcome such Reports because that is what keeps Websleuths civil and responsible. It has worked well for WS for many, many years and members agree to operate within those guidelines when they join.

As for Reports, we review each report and, using our experience, judgment and discretion, we act accordingly. Posts don't get removed just because one member does not agree with another. Do not accuse others of tattling or being a snitch or you will find yourself on the outside looking in. We welcome members letting us know when there is a problem. It helps keep the board respectful and credible.

Please get back to discussing the case itself without all the drama.

I am in complete agreement Sunshineray, I am very grateful that a fair trial is our right. Do I think the Wags are guilty? Absolutely, but I still want them have a fair trial because I do not want anyone's rights trampled, and if a fair trial there is less chance of appeal or re-trial. It protects everyone.
As new evidence comes out old theories will be revisited and rehashed, because we learn that theory was way off or we know now it was right on track. I am glad we have a forum to discuss these events and evidence, to share therories, ideas and questions. Lets all remember not everyone has been here from the beginning let them speak and ask questions and contribute. Last, lets remember we do not all have to agree on the guilt of the Wag4 or that evidence is beyond a reasonable doubt, this is a discussion board everyone's opinion is valued. If someone ask questions, brings up a valid point or disagrees that the wag4 are guilty it does not mean they are victim bashing.

I think as long as everyone remembers that none of the 8 taken were responsible for their own deaths, that murderers killed them in the night as they slept, dastardly and cowardly acts, talking about what the accused trials may bring is not victim bashing. God Bless the Rhoden family and sweet Hannah Gilley, may they rest in peace. May their loved ones left behind to mourn them see justice served for them all.

It could have been but the statement was also made about Brownie. I don't remember by who but do remember Donald saying he had to hold her to let LE in the trailer.

Both were dragged to the back room per Gary's dad and BJM.

Two different caliber guns to shoot Gary was in the prelim autopsy. I think Gary walked in on them after Kenny dropped him off as they were removing evidence and cleaning up the crime scene so they both turned and shot.

There really is no other motive for Kenny being killed. I don't think Gary was supposed to be at Chris's that night and Kenny bringing him home added two victims. I really do think if Kendra, Miranda and Donald had followed through with their plans there would be 11 victims, not 8.

Kenny would have noted and remembered any cars parked at or close to Chris's house that night and probably knew who was in it.

I would add CH to the list of possible victims. If Jake was angry at CG, he must have been really irate at CH.

CH had become Hanna R's new love and increasingly a father figure in HR and JW's daughter's life.

That had to have inflamed Jake and his family to no end.

    IMO, JMO

    Snipped from article:

"Stone revealed that his cousin owned a 'ferocious' pitbull dog called Brownie and believed the killer must have been known to him.

'Brownie is a ferocious dog Kenneth had for protection. He was a guard dog."

'When I dialed 911 after finding him, the police couldn't go in because Brownie was barking so angry at them.

'They asked me to get him and calm him down and that to me means that the killer knew Kenneth and knew his dog, otherwise he would have barked a lot or attacked him.

Yep, those two had angels on their shoulders IMO. Had the four Wagner's not been arrested it's hard to say how many more victims there would be. MOO

Edit: Was trying to quote JohnnyB's post about attending the trials, but I've forgotten how to use the site apparently.

Hour and 45 min. ride for me.

Looking at the map, wondering how far the Clerk of Courts is from the Walmart. Attention Walmart shoppers, your trial begins in .....

I suppose the court is at the Clerk of Courts building? Not the govt center at the old Kroger building?

If coming North on 23, you would have the light at Walmart, then go to 4th light and make a right. (South Market St) At the 1st 4 way stop, make a left.. this is Second St. (Courthouse on corner on right hand side) So, 5 minutes tops.

It is on corner of South Market and 2nd St

Is it possible that KR had a security system that also monitored CR's place? IIRC, many cameras etc had to be removed from KR's location.

I receive phone alerts if an animal/person etc cross my cameras. Maybe that wasn't available in 2016.

    Just asking if it's possible.

We have a security system and it can alert us on the phone and anyone in the family could scan the code in for the system and see all of our 8 cameras. 2016. Phone alerts also. It wasn't that expensive and works good, but there's more modern systems with more storage that I'd like to have. I'm not sure if anything else has been mentioned about the W's taking the cameras? DVR/CCTV device?
