Frankly, given some recent revelations about the evidence at hand, the case against the 4 Wags looks stronger than ever. Witnesses who heard Jake say he was going to kill Hanna, lots of ballistic and other evidence, DNA evidence, thousands of hours of phone conversations, texts, emails, hacking of victim's social media and messaging accounts, evidence of them using digital hacking to try to frame others, Billy becoming pathologically angry, controlling and possibly violent in the months and years leading up to the murders, etc, etc.

With everything piling up, it seems like the 4 Wagners attorneys may not even be able to save them from the DP. There's so much evidence of planning and premeditation that went into these murders.

The only way out for some of them is to make a plea deal and I think that's in the future.

I do believe the death penalty will be imposed. I expect them to be found guilty BARD.

From what the I Hart Radio program has said, FW has been doing shady deals for a long time with the nursing home and other things and now the Government has all her files she is going to be looked over thrall, I wouldn’t be surprised if Flying W Farm doesn’t file for bankruptcy soon, JMO

Relative of Wagner family doesn't want to say her name:

Basically Jake was an attentive involved dad to S. Hanna stayed in school while Jake worked as a truck driver with his brother. Split time between households. Angie was doting grandma. Dana was ecstatic being a grandma, those kids were her life.

2015 going well, ring tattoos and Wedding date set. Hanna close to Wagner family. Then the break up.

There is only Jakes's affidavit on what caused the breakup between them. Wagner relative says Jake wasn't ready to throw in the towel on the relationship period. He was trying very hard to make sure they got back together.

In July 2015 Hanna posts a cryptic message on Facebook. Lyrics to a song:
"...he slowly isolates her from all of her friends, she works really hard but he takes all of it..."

Then she says "End domestic violence live a happier life." Posted when Hanna was 18 after breakup with Jake, summer 2015.

May of 2015 she dates CG until they break up end of July 2015. CG is well liked by the family and is Frankie's best friend and Hannah Gilley's brother. CG proclaims his love for Hanna posting photos of them kissing on facebook.

Brittany, best friend of Chris Jr. says Chris told her:

"My sister is in a situation, Jake treats her awfully and she can't really do anything about it because she has a kid with him. It's a bunch of bs Jake treats her like crap." Brittany says "I felt she needed out of that relationship and not be associated with the Wagners."

That summer Hanna falls for CH and Jake is crushed. Extremely upset, hurt, didn't understand why. Brittany says "Every time I got a chance to talk to Jake he would cry 'I don't understand why she's being this way, why she won't give me a chance, we can work on it we would be good together. '

He was all upset but then it wore off and turned to anger.

August 2015 Hanna is pregnant and there is the possibility of 3 dads. Jake, CG and CH. Jake sees a glimmer of hope, almost a sense of relief. If this is his baby it could bring them back together. Even without knowing if the baby was his he offered child support and wanted to help get things for the baby.

Jake and Angela went shopping for the baby and one thing they bought was a crib.

However, there was a custody battle going on where Hanna would not allow him or any of his family to see S. Got out of hand at that point and set Jake off. Jake said at least a couple times he was going to kill her. He told Hanna "I'm going to f..ing kill you. Your not going to let me see the baby then your not going to have her. "

Brittany said " Jake you can't say those things please just chill out."
She says he was completely out of his mind, really really upset.

No father was listed on K's birth certificate. Mike DeWine said "A young mother murdered right beside her baby doesn't get much worse than that."

It takes time to get custody documents in order and according to Mike Allen, former prosecutor now criminal defense attorney, Jake's quick custody filings after only 6 days can be evidence for the prosecution that Jake had been getting custody documents ready before the murders, planning ahead.

It looks to me like even if K was not his, Jake hoped that he could be involved with her and that she could bring them back together. This baby could maybe make Hanna settle down with him at last. He wanted them to be together and finally realized that the new baby was not going to bring Hanna back to him.

Hanna had completely moved on....

That answers the question about the birth certificate for K. No father listed. Three took paternity tests and CG was the father. But, it does not say if JW took a paternity test for SW.
These iHeart pod casts have been good for filling in some things that were not known before and confirming other things. They seem to be pretty accurate based on what we have found. They are definitely worth a listen in my opinion.

I wonder where did the killers get legal advice that the whole maternal family of the children would have to be dead before (or to in sure) a father of an un-married relationship could get custody???? JMO
Or did the killers just take it upon their self to kill 8 people for the spite first, then custody second, this is the reason I think Jake Wagner could be the mastermind because every time we see Jake Wagner in court he smiling and acts as if he accomplished what he set out to do, (Pure Evil) JMO

Well, according to a Wagner relative who wants to remain anonymous, JW went from being pretty much blindsided that HR wanted to break up.

He was actively trying to get her back, crying all the time when he found out she had a new boyfriend CG.

That then did turn to anger...until he found out HR was pregnant. Then he was acting relieved and so hopeful again that he and HR were going to get back together. He was telling her he would take care of her, buying things for the new baby...until HR stopped seeing CG and started seeing CH.

Then it seems JW really got angry and stayed angry. Supposedly, according to this podcast's anonymous Wagner relative, he and his family were denied access to SW. JW then said many times he would kill HR.

I sure hope this anonymous Wagner relative is being called to testify. Seems she has a wealth of first hand conversations with JW about HR.

He was 20 she was 15. Statute of limitations gets complicated with all the different degrees of charges including both felony and misdemeanor counts. So you'd probably need to ask an Ohio attorney about the statute of limitations for this specific case. Sometimes statute of limitations doesn't even start until the minor reaches 18.

If the statute of limitations has run out we will be hearing about it from the defense no doubt.

Too bad they didn't throw in child endangerment charges. They knew those babies were being left alone and anything could have happened..2 Cents..

Just an outside perspective. Way back I commented the case looked weak against the grandmother Fredrica and I thought charges wouldn’t stick. Now it looks like the whole case is coming apart. Hopefully there will be compelling evidence brought at trial. I don’t want to be a naysayer but it isn’t looking good from lots of angles. I hope I am wrong. Being fr9m another state with no ties, I think I would be a reasonable objective person. It just seems the lawyers on the defense side are planting lots of doubt before the trial even starts. Thoughts?

I am from a different state that is over 800 miles away and I have been here on WS since the murders in 2016. I think I would also be a reasonable objective person since I have never been been to Ohio or anywhere close. I am just curious as to what angles you think doesn't look good since I think the evidence against them is overwhelming. If you could explain to me I would very much appreciate your point of view.

That's is their job and why they get paid the big bucks. They would be some pretty incompetent attorneys if they didn't try to plant doubt to help their clients get a biased jury.

What I notice is how they thought that if they covered their tracks at the crime scenes and staged the crime scenes and no one saw them near the crime scenes, that they would be home free.

Like the true amateurs they are - having gotten all their information off Google (in my opinion) - they were too ignorant to realize how much murder investigations rely on more than the actual crime scenes. How these investigations will focus intensely on events that LED UP to the murders. The motives, the means, the opportunities, the shopping and spying and stalking....Ect..

What they did in the months before.

They focused mostly on hiding themselves from the crime scenes then hiding all the evidence afterwards. Cameras, clothes, guns, all this stuff they burned and buried etc...But they left all this evidence of what they did from January 2016 to April 2016.

Well I’m not certain the number from Ohio is the one who hacked into my phone. I would get calls and texts from automated machines originating from a town in Ohio.

I get those also. Mostly someone trying to sell me an extended warranty on my vehicles or trying to sell me supplemental life or health insurance through their company. I not only get them from Ohio but just about every state in the country including my own. I don't think you have anything to worry about in as far as your phone is concerned. Wait until you are old enough to sign up on Medicare. The 3 to 10 phone calls a day start about a year before you are old enough to sign up trying to sell you supplemental part C or D Medicare and never stop.

Well, he IS a pedophile who groomed a child from the age 13 who then left him as soon as she got old enough to know what he was. So IMO he did get exactly what he wanted. Hanna dead along with everyone who supported her in her decision to leave him and for giving her a place to go where she thought she was safe.

First let me make it clear this is just my opinion only.

George did not have a dog in that hunt. He already had custody of his child. Why would he be so invested in his brother getting custody of his daughter that he would help kill 8 people? That is the question that has long baffled us all. The only motive I can find is he was terrified of his daddy Billy and wanted very much to please daddy by going along.

Given that assumption, now that he is out from under daddy's thumb and safe from him, I believe it is entirely possible George 4 will roll on them all and testify against them in order to get out on bond so he can be with his son and to get a much lighter sentence. After all he has Rita's example to go by.


Why Kenny was killed is another question that has long baffled us all.

I honestly believe that George was the driver that night and was in the vehicle with the sleeping kids and I think that is why they all assumed he would never be arrested and therefore be out to "take revenge" on anyone who dared to testify against the others. I also think that is why Kenny was killed. I think Kenny was with Gary and dropped him off at Chris's house that night at the end of the driveway and therefore saw George sitting in the vehicle down the road from Chris's house and George recognized him. So Kenny had to die so he would not be able to tell police when news of the murders broke the next morning that a Wagner vehicle with George sitting in it was parked down the road close to Chris's house.
