More than 200 pounds of cocaine found in plane that landed at Ohio University

http://nbc4i.com/2017/03/30/more-th...ound-in-plane-that-landed-at-ohio-university/

It was an international flight. Wonder what made them suspicious enough to check it out?

http://www.thepostathens.com/article/2017/03/oupd-airport-investigation

The craft is a privately-owned Canadian airplane based in Lachute, Quebec, according to information from the Canadian Civil Aircraft Register database.

State Highway Patrol is also assisting, according to an officer at the Highway Patrol office in Athens.

As info, this airport is affiliated with Ohio University at Athens, OH, not Columbus. The location isn't far from Pike County.

Perhaps the news media doesn't have all info, but it seems odd the only agencies involved in the investigation are Homeland Security and Ohio State Patrol.

Homeland Security: Over 130 kilos of cocaine seized from aircraft at Ohio University airport

http://www.10tv.com/article/homelan...caine-seized-aircraft-ohio-university-airport

According to Ohio University Police, they were notified by Homeland Security that an international aircraft was landing at the airport without proper authorization around 2:30 p.m.

Police said the pilot of the aircraft told officials he was traveling through United States airspace when a mechanical problem forced him to land.

Odd that LE is not revealing the names of the pilot and passenger. I can't imagine they were unaware of that much cocaine being transported in their small aircraft.

They had been watching this plane. It had flown the same route numerous times recently. When they unexpectedly landed in Athens, they got the chance to check it out...

Ok, it's pretty obvious that LE, special agents, task force and other agencies have been working behind the scenes on the drug problems in the tri-state area. My question is " How long has this been going on?". And does it involve the Rhoden/Gilley murders? And if all those agencies are involved, IMO the FBI is also. We have drug task force, cold murder case task force and what else? Are the powers that be waiting until all the drug dealers/whoever else is involved in all this mess, is cleaned up before they concentrate on the Rhoden's/Gilley's? Is there going to be one "grand" annoucement around election time? I'm sorry, but I for one am getting so darn tired of all the secrecy going on. I am being to question just what the heck is happening? And again, just me; my trust is just about gone.

Interesting: http://abc6onyourside.com/news/local/seventeen-charged-for-running-mexico-to-ohio-herion-meth-ring. And has anyone noticed that a Paul Detty is in Pike Co Ohio jail for aggravated murder? I think it was an old murder of a Lansing.

If this is the case I think it is (I can't get in the Gazette right now), is this the one they thought a car fell on the guy? They exhumed the body, second autopsy...There hasn't been alot I have heard yet, HOWEVER. Going to be a bit interesting to see how this one plays out. The investigator has last name Reader (IDK who he is yet other than it's not the Sheriff), this is a relatively old case..I am real curious what sort of evidence they have. Junk is prosecutor? Want to see how this one plays compared to the JJ case awhile back. I could really get all stirred up again but won't help! I will say Reader is doing a kicka@@ job on drugs. Quiet as a mouse on Rhodens....

Looks like we are finally getting somewhere, if these drug busts mean anything. I think they do.

I,like you, hope this links back to this case.
But even if it turns out not to,I am so glad they are getting these drug carriers and dealers off the street!

I am in no way making lite of the murders of these eight people. I was watching the NCAA Tourney and in the middle of a very good game, this case pops in my head. I feel like I know these people. I realize this sounds crazy and I know it's been mentioned about a SK, but at the rate that people are dying of overdoses and the hate that some people have for anyone who deals hard stuff like Heroin, and Oxy and Meth, what if it's someone who sees themselves as a "Dexter" for the area? I know.

Unfortunately drugs and using them are right up there with the world's oldest profession (prostitution). People will always find a way to escape their pain in some way. It's like roaches, if you see one, millions are hiding and lurking in the shadows. I'm glad their cleaning up Pike Co and tri-state area and I wish they could stop it, but.....

Yep, and a lot of this you can track back to Big Pharma.

I know this is going backward but, does anyone know why Clarence Rhoden was the one who filed for divorce? And how did he get all the property when it had belonged to Geneva Stone Rhoden's family?

Grounds for Divorce
Other or Divorce Obtained Out of State
To Whom Decree Granted
Husband
County of Decree
Pike
Decree Date
27 Sep 1995

The latter question is a good one that I've found zero good answer to, other than a lot of women used to, and still do, sign their property into their spouse's name (ONLY). Much to their detriment. I've also known some to give up everything to just get out (not saying that's the case here).

I can't believe almost a year has gone by!
Hope something significant breaks in this case soon!

What is a "Dexte"

Dexter was a SK in a serial t.v. show. However, he only allowed himself to kill, "killers" or other serial killers. He had "morals" so to speak and was cleaning up the area of people who killed innocents.

In another Ohio murder case, news media has been allowed to view the autopsy report of Bryon Macron

http://www.wkyc.com/news/local/medi...bryon-macron-stabbed-multiple-times/428911577

WKYC3 sued Medina County to allow them to view the autopsy report of Byron Macron, a township trustee who disappeared under suspicious circumstances last December and was recently found dead in a nearby lake.

Hope this bodes well for allowing Columbus Dispatch and other media outlets to view the unredacted ARs for the Rhoden killings.
