Dang she faced something like 80 years and got off with four. Not fair I agree. And not because she is a woman. More because of her looks. If she hadn't been pretty she probably would have gotten a longer sentence.
I do like the fact that she has to register every 90 days for life. Is that a level 2 or level 3 sex offender?

I was wrong on the time period.

The general rule is that a 5th degree and 4th degree felony offender can petition for judicial release between the 30th day and the 90th day from the time the offender reaches prison, not from the date of sentencing. For 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree felony offenders, the motion can be filed 180 days after the offender has entered prison, not from the date of sentencing.

Tier III is the highest classification level and is comparable to the old Sexual Predator classification and includes public notification post cards sent out to neighbors. These offenders have to register every 90 days for life.

Judge Robert Peeler -- who decided the case after Schuler waived her right to a jury trial -- said that he couldn't make the "magnificent leap" required to believe that Schuler was insane when the sexual encounters occurred.

Ultimately, Schuler was sentenced to four years in prison followed by five years of probation. She will be eligible for parole in six months. She must also register as a Tier III sexual offender.

After smiling and blowing a kiss to her parents, Schuler was handcuffed and escorted out of the courtroom.

News 5 uncovered documents from Schuler's divorce in 2006. In it, her then-husband alleged that Schuler had inappropriate relationships with teenagers who had recently graduated. Schuler alleged said that her husband was controlling. The couple was married six years.

In one of the prior stories linked a former student (since graduated) said he was aware of rumors of Schuler having sex with students dating back to his Jr year, which means prior to the charges she faced in court. I believe she got off very easy, she has blamed anyone and everything for her behavior without taking any responsibility for her actions.
