soooooooooooo - where are they? they're not in Tina's or Stephanie's trucks.

Trying to figure out why they would drive 80 miles to the college & ditch the truck if the women ran off w/ the kids....and none of that explains the violent scene/possibly blood in the house.

And why would someone take all 4 of them? So puzzling.

Not to mention - who reported Stephanie missing & when? doesn't she have a young child?

Borders said Friday he last heard from the mother on Wednesday when Herrmann texted him on his way to work at a distribution center about 80 miles away in West Jefferson at about 4:40 a.m. to let him know that she'd fed the dog. He said the dog, a miniature pinscher named Tanner, was also missing.

mother calls him at noon the next day where he is golfing to say they are missing (around time DQ would open no?)

He didn't think much of it, until he returned to the house in Howard after 5:30 p.m. and found authorities there.
He gave officers permission to search the house and didn't go inside himself. He said a deputy took a few steps into the home and said he saw a considerable mess inside.

Ok, I'll give this a shot. Herrmann's didn't show up for work or something alerted the co-worker to suspect something was wrong on Wednesday night. LE goes to the house and basically leaves after making no contact with the occupants. This bugs the co-worker and when Herrmann doesn't show up for work Thursday she know by now that something is really wrong. Goes to the house, breaks in, finds the mess and blood, calls LE who at this point takes this more seriously because of what the co-worker found. Truck is now missing and BF allows LE into the house which starts the ball rolling.

Sounds to me like everyone including the perp was in the house on Wednesday night. Leaves sometime after LE was there, with everyone in the truck to make a body dump (that really hurts to type) and abandons the truck at the college.

was she married? what was the relationship like? why were they planning on getting an apartment? were they going to have all five kids there? if not why would the friend leave the three kids of her own behind?

HOWARD — Blood was found in the home of a missing woman and her two children, whose disappearance along with her friend led to a lockdown at a collage near where her pickup truck was spotted, a sheriff said Friday.
