OKLAHOMA CITY - Police have released new details after a body was found on a burned couch at the end of September.

A body was found burned on a couch and left on the side of the road. Police are now releasing new images in hopes of getting this case solved.

“It’s a pretty unique case. You don’t often find furniture, particularly a couch, just sitting on a field, particularly on fire, with a deceased person on it,” said MSgt. Gary Knight, Oklahoma City Police.

[...]

Police have now released an image of what the victim is believed to have looked like.

As well as a photo of a tattoo, which was on the victim’s upper left chest.

“We don’t know if they died before the fire was set or if they died in the fire,” Knight said. “The body was burned to the point that they were unable to determine if it was male or female.”

OKC Police release sketch of burned person; need help ID’ing

BBM. The sketch looks like a black male to me but since the above says they could not determine sex and there is no mention of race I'm leaving both sex and race out of the title.

MOO.

I agree. The sketch looks like a black male. I can't make out any of the letters of the tattoo. My eye doesn't easily pick up on that unique font style. But I know it's popular. So maybe someone can hazard a guess there.

The first part of the tattoo reminds me of the 7 with a crown on top. Seagrams 7 logo like but I have no idea how that would translate to a tattoo unless it has a religious meaning.

Yes! Expecting a picture, I opened the thread with a "relaxed eye" and got Seagram's Crown immediately.

Can't find an exact image but it's a start at least.

Anybody know what is in the area of NE 50th & Sooner?

Google Maps

Eastern edge of Oklahoma City, south of I-35 & I-44. Looks like a business on the northeast, neighborhood northwest, For the Love of Horses southwest, trees & large houses southeast.

Oh my-- he was kidnapped by someone with a gun?!
I didn't see a thread for him so I created one:
AR - AR - Bryan McKnight, 29, Kidnapped by Gun, North Little Rock, 19 Sept 2019

There is no mention of Bryan having tattoos but the only photo is an ID-type photo. He could have tattoos and the info is simply not included on NAMUS. North Little Rock to Oklahoma City is only about 5 hours to drive: Google Maps

That’s an awfully long way to take a kidnap victim. I wonder if he knew his kidnapper? The sketch and Brian sure are similar though.

I agree it's probably too far to take a kidnap victim, but the sketch is so close.

That, and the similar facial appearance are what made me think it might be him. Do you think I should send it in?

It looks like he has a very faded tattoo on his right upper arm. Says "dog" maybe?

Yes indeedy, @KaylaraOwl , yes indeed, make LE aware of the resemblance.

Much as we like to chase ideas & mark maps, we love closure for loved ones!

JMHO YMMV

Yes, I think you should send it in. 5 hours might seem too far but maybe not. Maleah Davis' body was found about 5 hours drive away (from South Houston to Fulton, AR). Recently in Florida a man killed his wife and 4 children, kept their bodies in his van for several weeks and then drove from Florida to Georgia to dispose of the bodies. These were both cases of perps who had close connections to their victims. They likely took their victims far away/to another state in order try to distance themselves from the crime and at the same time hoping the victim would not be identified if found. Someone must have witnessed Bryan being taken away at gunpoint or perhaps they have video. If the kidnappers are aware they were seen then I don't think 5 hours is too far away for a kidnap victim to be taken. MOO.
