Judge will remain in Hall murder case


SAPULPA, Okla. (KTUL) - Murder suspect Amy Hall will not get a new judge in her trial despite a third effort to have Okmulgee County Judge Pandee Ramirez removed from the case.

Pandee denied two requests to recuse herself, so the matter was handed over to Creek County Judge Douglas Golden.

Golden also ruled in favor of the prosecution and said there had not been any comments or conduct that indicated Pandee was biased.

"The Nuyaka woman charged with murder in the 2018 shooting deaths of two of her children gained an additional charge while in the Okmulgee County jail: assault and battery.

Amy Leann Hall’s new charge stems from an altercation with a fellow inmate in February in which the inmate accuses Hall of “grabbing and shoving her with force and violence,” according to jail records....

Hall will appear in Ramirez’s court at 9 a.m. April 25."

OKMULGEE COUNTY, Okla. — The long-awaited hearing for the Beggs mother accused of killing her two children is on hold.

The Okmulgee County District Attorney's Office postponed today's hearing because it is being looked at by the Court of Criminal Appeal.

Eastern Oklahoma Woman Charged In Children’s Deaths Hospitalized

"OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say an eastern Oklahoma woman charged with killing two of her teenage children and trying to kill a third has been hospitalized after apparently trying to take her own life in jail.

Okmulgee County authorities say 38-year-old Amy Leann Hall was transported to a Tulsa hospital in serious condition Friday.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Duston Todd says Hall attempted to take her own life in her jail cell and that authorities are still investigating the circumstances...."
