@fox12oregon: UPDATE: @WCSheriff issues statement on Demi Helenius' disappearance http://kptv.tv/2vi1fSd
"She left on her own for personal reasons. When she was located, she was found to be not a danger to herself and in very good health. Though the manner in which she did it caused a lot of people (including us) much concern and we wish she would have gone about it other ways, we respect her privacy"

I wonder if she will reunite with her family now...or stay away even without her personal possessions. I'm glad this turned out well, like the Hannah Thomas-Garner case to which I compared it earlier in hopes of a similar outcome. If Demi hadn't been noticed by someone observant, this could have dragged on for months like Hannah's disappearance did. I hope Demi will not give any interviews and risk the angry, punitive backlash Hannah received after hers. Right or wrong, both ladies apparently believed that disappearing was their best option, regardless of the concern it caused others. I wish her well and may she move forward in life happily and productively as Hannah is doing.
