PORTLAND, Ore. - While a little boy remains missing and seems no closer to being found, the divorce proceedings between his father and stepmother continue to heat up.

Kaine Horman: 'I think he's still alive'

[snip]

He spoke bluntly Monday, and started to tear up at one point when a reporter asked what he would do if Kyron was not found alive. Kaine's response, says our photojournalist at the scene, was that he just does not want to think about that.

However, he remained adamant that his nearly 2-year-old daughter Kiara may have seen something "horrific" happen to Kyron on the day he disappeared.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Six months after Kyron Horman disappeared, Sheriff Dan Staton says he once worried the investigation was headed for the cold case files, but now he's confident his investigators will get to the bottom of the case.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office asked the Skyline School principal to send a flyer to its parents and staff, as investigators seek to determine as definitively as possible, the identity of every person who was on the school campus between 8 and noon on June 4, the day Kyron Horman, then 7, disappeared.

Judge: Horman divorce case postponed

Presiding Judge Keith Meisenheimer tells us both Kaine and Terry have agreed to continue the abatement for another three months. The disposition was expected to start this month. Attorneys argued for the postponement by citing the "ongoing criminal investigation" into Kyron's disappearance.

New Intelligence May 'Bring Closure' to Kyron Horman Case

Oregon police are searching two spots in Portland's West Hills today at the request of the Kyron Horman Task Force, in an effort officials and family say may bring "closure" to the case of the 8-year-old who has been missing for more than eight months.

Roughly 50 search-and-rescue workers, along with up to seven cadaver-detecting dogs are searching the dense forests and gated logging roads around the West Hills.

A police spokesperson echoed Young's statements, telling KATU that the search today, the first in several weeks, were initiated in the hopes of bringing "closure" to the case.

The decision to search the two locations today was reportedly based on investigative leads developed by the Kyron Horman Task Force.

It looks like Kyron's case will be on Nancy Grace, America's Missing tomorrow(?).

His disappearance sparked the largest search in Oregon’s history. 7-year-old Kyron Horman vanished from his elementary school, his stepmother the last to see him walking down the hallway toward his classroom.

Kyron never made it to his classroom and he was never seen again. A photo taken of boy at a science fair at school earlier on the day he went missing, June 4, 2010 would become the image seen around the country to help locate him. No suspects or persons of interest have been made public by law enforcement despite a dark cloud of suspicion hovering over the stepmother, Terri Horman.
