last seen early Wednesday morning at a roadside campsite in the Brice Creek area, west of Champion Road. Both Lund Park and Hobo Camp campgrounds are in that area.

Michael Bryson, 27, was last seen on Wednesday at a roadside campground, located off Brice Creek Road just west of Champion Creek Road.

The sheriff's office said it was reported that Bryson wandered away from a group of friends at around 4:30 a.m. in an unknown direction and has not been seen since.

Bryson was reported missing by his family after he did not return home.

The sheriff's office said search teams were in the area on Wednesday and Thursday, but have not located any clues as to which direction Bryson may have gone.

Bryson was last seen on Wednesday at a roadside campground, Hobo Camp located off Brice Creek Road just west of Champion Creek Road. He was reported missing by his family after he did not return home after he wandered away from a group of friends in an unknown direction.

Lane Sheriff seeks help finding missing 27-year-old man

Lane County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue teams tried finding him Wednesday and Thursday. They were continuing the search Friday, “but so far have not located any clues as to which direction Michael may have gone,” the release stated. “Michael left his camping gear at the campground and his phone has been powered off for several days.”

A drone was used in the search. There were 18 videos made during today’s search! The post explains it covered about a 5 mile radius.
The videos will be posted; they are unsure where they will post them at (on find fb page, YouTube, etc).

No judgment, but maybe a bad trip? I know people who have gone into the woods and ingested hallucinogens during the pandemic as a way to let loose.

I hope he's found safe soon. If his personal cell phone actually had no battery as stated above, that's unusual! IMO, since we don't know if that's a rumor or a fact.

Search efforts ramp up for missing Eugene man

Bryson was camping at the Hobo Camp Campground with friends last week when he wandered away from the site Wednesday morning and that was the last time he was seen.

The search is not isolated to just the campground and surrounding areas. Friends have deployed into cities all over western Oregon looking for any leads that could point them to where he might be

The effort to find Bryson has grown beyond just those who knew him.

A facebook group with more than 2,000 members is dedicated to finding the young man.


A $10,000 reward is available for any information leading to his discovery, all which was donated to fuel efforts to find him.

Go to today’s aerial view done with the drone. They have a certain time stamp & area they want people to look at on a bigger screen and get their thoughts.

One commenter (AS) circled an area of a screenshot of the drone’s footage. I don’t like drawing conclusions too fast but...
I’m praying it’s just branches or something to that effect.

The area where the drone picked up a questionable image was searched again thoroughly; it is believed the image was of branches laying a certain way.

Just a quick rundown

• 27 years old; Brown hair; blue eyes; 6ft and 180lbs; hair is long past ears; rainbow crocs; white t shirt; BLACK shorts
• Last seen @ 4:30am 8/5/2020 at Hobo Campground while camping with a group of about 80 people when he stated he was going to get some air and walked out of the Bus he was sleeping on; unknown where from there or what direction he walked
• He has a nose ring; facial hair; heart with hands tattoo on his rib cage; geometric bear tattoo on back of arm; geometric lion on back of shin; geometric elephant on shin
• Both his parents are camping up at the campground to help with search efforts in the woods.
• SAR and sheriff's office have been involved as well as hundreds of public volunteers have come out to help
• Tracking dogs HAVE been up there but the first 72 hours are the most important and they were not able to track his scent.
• Sheriff's Department and SAR did search the nearby lake with their resources
• The people present at the party have given statements and been interviewed by police
• Out of 80 only a handful of party goers stuck around to help the family and authorities search; those who stayed have been dedicated and resilient in their search to help find Michael.
• There have been multiple unconfirmed sightings of Michael in the Eugene, OR area about 20 miles from PLS; fliers and searchers are also searching in those areas but it is believed that if Michael were able to see everyone searching for him that he would have contacted his family by now.
• Michael and his parents are very close and Michael is a very friend and family oriented individual.
• Michael went on two mission trips to Africa, would do anything for anyone without asking for anything in return, a very compassionate and kind person.
