Well done, y'all! Justice for Terence Paquette!

VERDICT: An Orange County Jury has found Kenneth Stough Jr. guilty of murder and he has been sentenced to life in prison. In February 1996, Terence Paquette was stabbed more than 70 times and found in the bathroom of the Lil' Champ convenience store in northwest Orange County. The case remained unsolved for nearly 25 years. In November 2021, OCSO Homicide detectives arrested Kenneth Stough, Jr. in connection with the murder through genetic genealogy. This was the first homicide case been solved using genetic genealogy at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Nov 4, 2021, Video is just over 2 minutes.

DNA from beer can leads to arrest 25 years after deadly stabbing, Orange County deputies say

Thank you. A massive team effort of which Othram was just one small part, but we are grateful to have been able to help.

Othram previously assisted the Boston FBI, MA State Police and Provincetown PD in identifying the "Lady of the Dunes" after nearly 50 years of mystery surrounding her death. Today, the Provincetown DA announced the case is closed and her late husband has been found responsible for her death. He is also a suspect in the death of a previous wife.

Fantastic news! I know that has been a contentious case for many for a long time. I wonder if any connection was ever made to her possibly being an extra in Jaws

We previously reported that Othram assisted the McDonald County Sheriff's Office and SEMO in identifying a homicide victim, originally known as Grace Doe. Her name was Shawna Beth Garber. Yesterday, it was reported that the BTK serial killer is the prime suspect in her assault and murder.

Yay! As early as post #4 in her thread, @Reannan threw out the idea that this could be BTK.

New case solve: Cumberland County John Doe (1983) is Identified

Congratulations on the solve!

(I think it's meant to say late 1970s early 1980s at the bottom, where it's talking about seeking adult-age photos of him. The way it is right now sounds like you're wanting photos from specific years a decade apart, rather than a range.)

Appreciate you pointing that out. We revised the phrase.

A new case solve before the weekend. Not sure if there is a websleuths thread though:

Othram is honored to have assisted the Spokane County Sheriff's Office in identifying the suspect in the 1978 sexual assault and murder of 16-year-old Krisann Baxter. Remember not to give up hope: even after nearly a half-century, it is possible to get answers in these horrific crimes.

From the link:

…Lindblom was arrested and charged in Spokane County for the 1975 violent assault and rape of a 16-year-old female victim near the area where Krisann Baxter’s body was discovered. Lindblom admitted to having intercourse with the juvenile victim and pled guilty to Assault 1st Degree in exchange for the rape charges being dropped.

(Why does that seem to happen so confounded much??!!!)

This almost decades-old cold case investigation will be closed with “Exceptional Circumstances” due to Lindblom’s death. The suspect, Keith D. Lindblom, died in a fire on April 11, 1981, with his death certificate listing the manner of death as “accident”.

(Good. I’m glad he burned to death, at least.)

Congratulations on the success of your crucial role in another astounding solve!
Your message of hope is deeply appreciated.

I don't see a thread for her.

Sleep well, Krisann.
