Detective Chris didn't respond back to my email about if he had a possible list of ruleouts..

I checked the Namus profile for this UID shows no rule-outs. I assume Chaddylex did not get an email response from Chris McMullin on Frances Kiefer?

perhaps someone might give him a call? much easier to ignore an email than a call.

web's, if I may call you webs. It is much easier to call a ME than it is LE. ME's are in 7th heaven when getting a phone call on an old case. Back as a newbie, I had to be prompted for weeks to make my first ME call. Then I wondered why I was so nervous. I would much prefer contacting ME to LE.

Chaddy' is pretty good at follow ups so perhaps he or she might want to contact the ME on this case?

Salem mods several forums here, so unsure of the time she may have to make calls.

I found, contacting LE with a 'free mail' such as yahoo, they don't go through, so sometimes a paid email works better or a call, or several calls to reach the correct person is in order.

I did get an email back from Chris McMullin, and all he said was he would look into it. He gave me the feeling like he wasn't going to look into it. I sent it to him from my work email, will check on Tuesday when I go back to work what he actually did say.

But it is possible that the shirt was obtained at a charity event sponsored by KPMG-PM.

Or it could have been "swag", handed out at a college recruitment fair or something similar.

I looked back thru my emails and Chris McMullin did send me a response back on 4/27/10, when I asked him if heard back from the PA state police about getting DNA from Frances Keifer's family. Here is his response:

Unfortunately no. I have been very pre-occupied and I have not heard back yet.

Thanks Cubby for giving me the heads up on calling the ME, I will find out the contact info and get on it. Some of the LE they list on these pages, shouldn't even be listed because it's almost like they don't want to be bothered.

Off topic... but as wondering if I am a he or she (I know my weird screen name) I am a girl, or lady, or woman..lol

I found an email address for the Bucks County Corners office and sent an email about the possible match. I attached a read receipt so I will at least know if and when the email was read. I will post if I receive an email back.

Well I came back into work this morning and I received two different read receipts from two different people, but with no response back. (they were both read around 7:30am) I am thinking since I sent the email not to a certain person, but to Bucks County Corner, a few people might have received it. Hopefully I will get some kind of response back soon.

Cubby, thanks for giving me the idea of emailing the Medical Examiner/Corner.

Been a while since anyone has posted...I'm in the area near the lake and have been thinking of who the UID could be. The shirt is so specific, I feel like it must lead somewhere.
I've been following WS for a long time, but just recently joined. Any tips on how I should start searching for missing people that may fit? I've been looking in PA and NJ with no luck. In this case, do I do a more national search? :please:

I would like to add the links that I have been able to compile (so far) of wanted prison escapees, parolees, etc. because her dental work looks as though it could have been done while she was incarcerated. Unfortunately, there aren't very many women on these lists. I looked at a few of them -- Ohio, West Virginia, Nevada, Tennessee, and Kansas -- and did not really see anyone that I thought could be her so far. I will keep looking. So far, on a state basis these are the links that I have found (I also included DC and Canada) --

If anyone has this sort of information for other states or better links (maybe that have more photos or go back longer), hopefully you could pass them on to us.

The picture of the shirt in the Doe network looks like the ones they used to provide for the women who participated in a series of road races held to raise money for breast cancer research. L'Eggs mini-marathon, maybe? They were held in several cities around the country including Boston and NYC. I can't tell if it has a collar -- these were plain pink t-shirts with a darker pink band.

Another possibility is that the shirt was something passed out at job fair at a college. As a "starving" accounting student, I used the student health center and would have gone to a dental clinic if needed, and I sure as hell would have taken free -t-shirts if they were handed out.

As for the Alcatraz t-shirt, you can buy those in pretty much any shop around Pier 39 and the surrounding area. It's been around, in one form or another, for decades.

The following people have been ruled out as being this decedent:

First Name Last Name Year of Birth State LKA

Andrea Coyle 1948 Pennsylvania
Katherine Heckel 1951 Pennsylvania
Frances Kiefer 1949 Pennsylvania
Bonita Krummel 1946 New Jersey
Barbara Shumac 1953 Pennsylvania
Betty Smith 1942 New Jersey
Colleen Voitik Mc Hugh 1963 Illinois

There are a couple of Universities KPMG recruits from in that area. Temple, Drexel, Penn, Delaware, Rutgers. I think it would be worth contacting KPMG to see if it what the shirt was used for--Recruitment Fair SWAG, something that employees buy from a catalog, something that was given as a reward for working there for a period of time, etc.

As for the dental, many Dental Schools will offer free services to students. This allows dental schools students to get some hands on practice when they are doing their clinical rotations. It's not the best but it's free. In that area, there are two dental schools--Penn and Temple. There is a good possibility that she went to one of those Universities.

Here are the ruleouts as they are listed on NamUs:

Andrea Coyle 1948 Pennsylvania
Katherine Heckel 1951 Pennsylvania
Frances Kiefer 1949 Pennsylvania
Gloria Korzon 1943 Pennsylvania
Bonita Krummel 1946 New Jersey
CHARLOTTEAL POLLIS 1965 Ohio
Barbara Shumac 1953 Pennsylvania
Betty Smith 1942 New Jersey
Mary Smith* 1948 Pennsylvania
Colleen Voitik Mc Hugh 1963 Illinois

24-hour diner this UID was found nearby - "Clubhouse Diner": http://www.clubhousedinerpa.com

Thinking the site where her remains were found was known to a local as a secluded spot to hide a body. It had to have been away from the highway. I looked at Google Maps and the diner appears to be near homes and a wooded area towards the rear of the diner, where I'm thinking the body was dumped. Probably, the person who dumped her accessed that place from the woods rather than the highway or diner itself, where it would seem odd/noticeable if somebody was carrying something that large wrapped in plastic. Bensalem is very developed, with lots of travelers passing through, but the person responsible was probably either from the area or familiar with it.

I know I pointed this out before on another thread but IMO something fishy was going on in Bensalem area in late 80's, early 90's.

This case is from 1995 though she was thought to have been deceased for a few years IIRC.

There is also:

White female 40-53, headless, found in creek in Bensalem in 1995 (PMI of about 4 weeks): http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...in-Poquessing-Creek-Aug-95&highlight=bensalem

White Female 20-30 pregnant in pumphouse, found in Bensalem in 1988 (PMI of 1-5 years) http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...egnant-in-pumphouse-Jan-88&highlight=bensalem

Not to mention this 17-25 year old White Female whose torso was found in Downington in 1995, but whose legs were found in Cores Creek State Park outside Bensalem in 1996. http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...embered-in-suitcase-Jul-95&highlight=bensalem

Just a few too many unidentified females in such a short time in one area for my comfort.

I didn't think of that - maybe there was a serial killer in the area? There's also "Penny Doe." http://pennsylvaniamissing.com/246ufpaclarioncountyjd.html

And if you go just a little earlier and just a little farther afield, pregnant and dismembered Beth Doe in White Haven.

Yikes... I would hate to think this could be the same perp. Beth Doe was a little bit earlier, in the '70s, but that's not to say the person responsible couldn't have taken a break before the other killings in the late '80s and '90s. With the dismembered female in Downington, as well as the headless decedent in the creek near Bensalem (why was she headless), that matches the M.O. of Beth Doe's killer. I think it is at least worth considering. I also might take a look at neighboring states like NJ, NY and OH, seeing if there were any unidentified females during approximately that timeframe, and manner of death.

My personal opinion? The Beth Doe murder was not the act of a random stranger but committed by someone close to her. They know now that she was a foreigner and possibly came from a culture where it was frowned upon to become pregnant before marriage (assuming she was unmarried). I don't want to get into the case too much on this thread since she has her own thread, but the cutting off of the ears and breasts (and nose, I think), would indicate someone being pretty angry at her in a personal way.

The other murders may have been carried out by the same person, but I feel in my gut that if they were, the M.O. didn't remain consistent (dismemberment vs. leaving corpse intact).
