His vehicle, a black 2018 Dodge Challenger with the Pennsylvania license plate number KMM5801, was found abandoned and burned in the Fairmont Park area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after his disappearance. His family stated he had no reason to have gone to the park.

According to Payne-Bishop's family, he had been gambling excessively prior to his disappearance. The circumstances of his disappearance are unclear and his case remains unsolved.

Chester police are working to identify the victim whose skeletal remains were found buried three feet underground at Deshong Park.

Commissioner Steven Gretsky says a foul odor was coming from the area.

At the press conference, authorities said the body was probably buried about 3 months ago but, of course, they haven't yet received a report from the ME. But if there was still an odor coming from the burial site, I'd think this is a fairly recent death. jmo
