Let's play pretend :)

This is going to take a lot of imagination because I don't see how this can happen what so ever but~

Let's pretend JVDS doesn't get denied on the HC. What would happen then? Does he anticipate he can walk out of the prison he's being held right now and saunter over to a cab and catch a ride to the airport and hightail it out of there to either the Netherlands or Aruba?

Would Peru have to turn his passport back over to him pronto?

Like I said above~~~ a whole lot of fantasy there but wonder "if" and what he's thinking (or his lawyer).

I would imagine this is SOP, first file this one and there is a whole laundry lists of other motions to file...etc.

How would he even get a cab, when he had his last cab drivers arrested??!!??

The families of Natalee Holloway and Stephany Flores will be forever connected because of JORAN VAN DER SLOOT..... Murder, thief, gambler, sociopath, and snake charmer.

It is of my opinion that Joran VDS will never commit suicide.....because he feels that he is the VICTIM, and he did nothing wrong when he killed Stephany. She invaded his private life (so he stated) and in his mind, she had to pay for that.

However, if he does take his own life, unfortunately the Holloways will never ever find Natalee, not that Joran has any intentions of ever connecting himself to her disappearance anyway.
The Flores-Rameriz family needs justice for the horrendous murdering rampage of their daughter brought on by this Dutch .

I hope he doesn't cheat the Grim Reaper by doing himself in before Peru gets their chance to do it for him.

I feel that JVDS heard the one word from both Natalee and Stephany that sent him totally over the edge. THAT WORD WAS NO

Nope, no cab for him to catch........no passpost either....just Interpol along with the FBI waiting at the gate for him to saunter through and that plane ride would take him directly to the U S of A for his Extortion Fraud case against the Holloways.

There ends his Fantasy Dreams of ever going back to the sun drenched sands of Aruba where the palms blow softly in the island breezes.

Goodbye Aruba, goodbye Carlos and Charlie's, goodbye everything that was near and dear to you.......goodbye mommy.

If they by some wild miscarriage of justice set Joran free how long do you really think he'd survive as a free man? I'm thinking not long....I'm thinking he's actually got a better chance of staying alive in prison right now...that is until he gets transferred over to Lurigancho anyway...

Yep. Except I really don't want his butt in the US. I think he should spend his time in LuriG. American's have already shoved out too much money, time and agony for him to get a fluff 30 years on our dollars.

ETA: Maybe Aruba would find it in their hearts and pocketbook to send him a monthly "allowance" for his necessities.

As I understand it, Chile first began searching for him and captured him because Peru INTERPOL issued a citizen alert for him due to the death of SF in his room.

After Chile had him, they were sent an International Arrest Warrant from INTERPOL which authorized them to return him to Peru. Since extradiction "could take months", it was reported, they were able to expel / deport him to Peru because he had entered Chile from Peru...I guess, send him back to where he came from. Once he crossed the border into Peru, the Peruvian police presented the warrant for his arrest.

I didn't see anything which questioned that he had entered Chile illegally.

Does anyone know, or can point me to something, about the exact circumstances (how, where, when) that Chilean authorities first got hold of Joran?

I know Joran has a long story about seeing his pic in a local paper and turning himself in that goes on for a while. (That's gottta be a lie.) And IIRC, initially reports said the taxi drivers turned him in. That seems unlikely as they were arrested not rewarded. Unless they were stupid enough to have stuff that Joran gave them as payment that could "fry" not only Joran but the drivers as well. And then contact authorities while they had that stuff?

Something may be off here.

So if Joran's and the drivers' stories are false, just how and when did Chilean authorites first find him?

TIA

personality disorder...........by mom the teacher???? LOL

Sorry, I'm just catching up. But everyone should watch J's mom's comments about her little sporter.

I've seen different interviews and she begins with, '...he was supposed to go to a hospital,' or whatever it was.

then she says another time, '....he's sick in the head.'

The latest one I saw is, '.....he has or might be 'bipolar.''

SORRY! NOT!!! Isn't gonna work. They're working up to him being {crazy}! It's all a defense strategy. :banghead:

He's not crazy. He's {{{EVIL}}}!!

He's the {devil}!

His mom needs to write him off!

He's a lost cause.

He's lost as a human-being.

Here's a series of articles from a Chilean newspaper:

Joran van der Sloot is nothing but a and murdering Sociopath.

His mother has written him off. She knows he murdered Stephany and he will pay for her killing.

If there is any truth to the fact that he was supposed to go to a mental facility, I want to see proof positive where it shows that he was registered there.

However, since she stated that he is/may be bi-polar.....was he evaluated for that? I doubt it. He is not crazy either.....he is a total & complete true SOCIOPATH for which there is no cure.

Natalee Holloway Suspect Joran Van Der Sloot Arrested in Chile for Murder

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<article and video at link>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Thank you.

The article has:

"Chilean media reports that van der Sloot was captured by police while travelling in a taxi on the highway between Santiago and Valparaiso. Prior to his arrest, a Peruvian taxi driver came forward to say he drove the Dutchman to the border, where van der Sloot, the son of an Aruban lawyer, crossed into Chile by foot."

Wish there were more. Was he spotted as a passenger by passing police or what???? Someone had allerted them?

And when the article cites a "a Peruvian taxi driver came forward to say he drove..." Is this one of the arrested drivers? It would appear to be, as this driver--the article says--took him to the border, and I thought all involved in that were arrested, yes?

And have there been any updates on the 3 taxi drivers, after their arrest?
It will be interesting to see what happens with them...

In the city of Arnica in Chile, 11 miles South of the border, where van der Sloot entered the country, police searched hotels and hostels and set up roadblocks around the city.

Van der Sloot was arrested in a taxi on his way to the coastal city of Viña del Mar. He reportedly did not resist and was taken to Chile's capital Santiago.

Chile has a large Peruvian community living there, many people from Peru immigrate to Chile for work, etc.
it would not be strange that the taxi driver that took him from Santiago to Vina Del Mar was from Peru.

He was captured en route in Curacaví going by taxi from Santiago to Vina del Mar, a small tourist town along the coast with a gambling casino. At least he stays true to form...LOL!!! Curacavi is about half way between Santiago and the coastal town.

You know, I just looked it up and the distance between Lima, Peru and Santiago, Chile is over 1500 miles....that boy sure ran pretty far!!

MOO

Not much, but here's another:

Translated: Joran van der Sloot was wearing a black polo long sleeve hooded beige trousers at the time of his arrest this morning in Chile. According to the images broadcast by Channel 13 in the country, the alleged murderer of Stephany Flores also looked very short hair, as shown in photos circulated on the Internet. The young Dutchman, who has a history of crime in Aruba, Thailand, offered no resistance when captured, according to police source told to Emol. Joran van der Sloot was arrested when he went to board a taxi, he had rented, due to Viña del Mar. At this time of day, it remains on the premises of the Department of Immigration Police Investigations Based in Santiago Chile.

I was wondering if there is a discrepancy?

From here:

"Flores was arrested in Curacaví by the PDI (Policía de Investigaciones de Chile It is believed that he was making his way to Viña del Mar as he was traveling on Route 68."

From here:
http://abcnews.go.com/International...oran-van-der-sloot-arrested/story?id=10817535
"Chilean media reports that van der Sloot was captured by police while travelling in a taxi on the highway between Santiago and Valparaiso "

So one piece involves Vina del Mar, and the other Valparaiso. But those seem to be in the same area according to Wiki. But then the one piece cites Curacavi where he was allegedly nabbed, and this may be a discrepancy (or not) and that is said to be in the Santiago district. But I guess they could have nabbed him just out of Santiago and not near the final destiantion--whatever that was.

But I sure wish they had more details like--"police in a car riding alongside his taxi recognized him and pulled it over" or such. It wasn;t a any kind of checkpoint. And look a thow far this region is from the Peruvian border! If he had no money left--how did he pay for such a long ride?

Of course, it got my curiosity because I recognized the deeper matters that Vina Del Mar is known for.

Maybe you saw the fine movie "Missing" with Jack Lemon and Sissy Spacek. That movie, based on a true story, showed a young American journalist who was bragged to by an ONI or CIA agent while in Vina Del Mar. The agent bragged about the impending overthrow on 9/11/73 that he was there working on. And allegedly because of what he had been told by the ONI/CIA agent, the young American was ordered killed. The father/Jack Lemmon sued all the way up from the American Ambassador to Henry Kissinger, and the intelligence agencies, in the murder of his son. I believe it was finally disallowed by the US Supreme Court or such.

Of course, Vina Del Mar has casinos itself.

Only problem again is that by then Joran supposdly had no money--and not even his watch to hock?

Finally some details!!

I guess this is a "robot translation"?

But what does it imply, if anything? Joran called a cab, and the call was intercepted by police, interpol, FBI, someone else?? And they went and "met" him when he went to board the cab?

Does the above indicated they intercepted his call to the cab? Was he stupid enough to use his cell phone???

Maybe didn't have Chilean coins or such?

Salvador Allende died in 1973, Augusto Pinochet died several years ago and had not been a dictator for over 20 years. The main complaint back then was that Chileans involved in communism were the ones they went after. That has been part of a sad history of Chile and for the life of me I can not see how this case can bring that up.
Chile is a Democracy! and no one there sets out to trap anyone for kicks.
I am from Chile and can assure you they don't go after foreigners to destroy them or put them in Peruvian jails.
