She would only confirm the search are for human remains, though a State Police spokesman said this morning police are following up on a lead that the body may be Peterson's.

Ingersoll noted weather may be a factor in today's excavation. With a forecast for heavy rains, police will be hesitant to unearth a body and have the rains possibly wash away evidence.

Meanwhile, Pam Bosco, who has been the spokesperson for Stacy's family, tells WBBM-Radio the family is hopeful, but wary, that the Stacy's remains may finally be found.

She said investigators notified the family yesterday but said police told her reports from the TMZ celebrity gossip website, which first broke the story, are mostly untrue. That report claims Drew Peterson told an inmate how he killed Stacy and where he buried her body. Police only told the family that they had a "good lead", according to Bosco's WMMB interview.

Stacy, 23, was Drew Peterson's fourth wife. She disappeared on 2007 from their Bolingbrook home. Peterson is currently jailed and awaiting trial for the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, back in 2003.

Hmm...well if it's not an inmate, then somebody close to Drew obviously wasn't sleeping well at night - got a case of the guilts.

Okay, I'm really cleaning now. Speed cleaning!

Rainy day in Peoria. Master Sgt. Burek said the weather is making the operation difficult.

Pat Barry, sheriff's spokesman, refutes TMZ story about jailhouse Petersom snitch.
TMZ reporting that the cops have located Stacy's body and are going to dig her up tomorrow.

I need to go fix a broken sprinkler.....

Praying that this is the closure the family deserves.

BBL.

If you go to the reporters Facebook page there is a comment by someone saying where the tip came from (according to another reporter).

I wanted to add that you can link to his facebook page from his twitter page.

Just heard the news... Praying that they have found Stacy. Thoughts with her family and loved ones.

They should be able to make a tentative ID with the breast implant and their id numbers.

Pam Bosco, a spokeswoman for Stacy Peterson’s family, also said several claims in TMZ.com’s story are not true, but said the family is “very hopeful at this point” based on information the Illinois State Police has shared with the family.

“They seem to be really positive that this will be something that will help the case,” Bosco said. State police haven’t given family details about the nature of the lead or where the tip came from, but “we’ve just been told it’s a very good lead and they’re very hopeful.”

Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll confirms forensics teams have been summoned to the scene but says so far they have found no human remains. The coroner say excavation work is underway to search for human remains.

Here's a thought: suppose Drew didn't tell another inmate anything, but the accomplice did tell LE where to find her. The news article I just read says that Drew is not close enough to other inmates to tell them anything. So maybe the stories are confusing because they are only half true.

I'm just catching up on this thread. As I went to bed in the wee hours of the morning, having read the TMZ article, I had a nagging thought about this news.....a recent article stating that DP is kept is in protective custody, isolated from other prisoners. It makes sense that some parts of the TMZ article aren't accurate as to the sequence of events. The source might not be DP.
