Oh, boy

Cosby’s team will insist he’s been targeted because he’s black and famous. They are also determined to use terms like “lynching,” “witch hunt” and “persecution” in their public relations campaign to salvage what’s left of the actor’s image, a Cosby insider reveals to Radar.

Wasn't that pretty much the gist of what Pressley had to say?

A judge in a Santa Monica court Tuesday morning has granted a motion by Lawyers for Bill Cosby to allow Monique Pressley to join legal team in his defense.

BEVERLY HILLS – Beverly Johnson, who came forward with claims Bill Cosby had drugged her, was honored Tuesday night by Linda’s Voice, a charity that aims to help women who have suffered abuse.

"He asked the security guard to tuck him in at night, and everybody was really weirded out by it," Rogan said.

Residents of New England town reluctantly reckon with Bill Cosby allegations

"It's sad when your town's No. 1 celebrity-type person ends up going down into a situation like this," says Michael Eller, co-owner of the Sawyer News store, one recent weekday afternoon. "But there's nothing we can do about it. He lives over there doing whatever he does. He doesn't really interact with the town."

Karen Palmer, the kitchen manager at The Village Restaurant, prefers to take a wait-and-see attitude: "Innocent until proven guilty, you know?"
Others say they feel sorry for Cosby's family, noting they've contributed many positive things to the community since moving to the area in the 1970s, from buying acres of rural land for preservation to speaking out against a natural gas pipeline project through the region.
"I view it as a private matter," says Town Clerk and Selectman Joseph Judd, who has personally known the Cosby family for years. "I can't imagine a finer family, the way they've raised their children, the way they've lived. There's really nothing negative to say."

Well, you know, except the tiny little thing that he may have raped dozens of women...?

That's a private matter and they're a fine family. Don't be so judgey.

But the older TV daughters of Cosby—Tempestt Bledsoe (who played Vanessa Huxtable from the ages of 11 to 19), Sabrina Le Beauf (who played Sondra Huxtable from the ages of 26 to 34), and Bonet (who played Denise Huxtable on and off from the ages of 17 to 24)—have remained completely silent. And whether that choice stems from pragmatic business-related reasons, or a desire to keep their emotions private, these women aren’t talking—as is their right, especially for former celebrities who have been living privately for many years, removed from the spotlight. But the desire for Bonet’s opinion is sky-high and a fake tweet with Bonet’s name attached was in heavy circulation last November before the fraud was detected and the accou

Let's not leave a penny for the golddiggers honey.

FWIW
I wondered if some graphic artist somewhere would come up with this.

cosby in rapeseed.jpg

Rindo was surprised it had been accepted by the State Fair. Following complaints it was taken down a day later.
Subversive wordplay aside, Rindo mentioned rapeseed in parentheses in the portrait's label to make it clear he wasn't simply a Cosby fan.

"The point was just to see, would there be outrage?" he said. "Would there be people talking about it? Would it even get through?"

It did and it didn't: Ron Kelsey, the Fair's longtime crop art superintendent, gave the portrait the green light but put a piece of tape over the word "rapeseed.

"
His reasoning, he said: "We call everything canola in this country."

Rindo wasn't sure that helped -- "now it looks like I just painted a portrait of Bill Cosby with canola seeds," he said, which isn't the message he hoped to send.

Either way, emails started rolling in to Fair administrators complaining about the portrait.

Note: Canola was a major crop in Alberta when I was growing up. And back then anyway, it was called rapeseed.

Smithsonian wouldn't take down the Cosby quotes about family but they censor rapeseed :p

It's still one of the major crops (Sask, as well) and it's still called rapeseed. But of course, most people refer to it as canola. I'd be annoyed as well if someone brought that art to one of our farm fairs or festivals. I don't want Cosby associated with this major crop. Sounds picky, but canola fields are everywhere in Alberta, don't need that associated reminder.

...as Mr. Cosby’s reputation has suffered amid new attention to decades’ worth of sexual assault allegations, N.Y.U. acted quietly in the last two weeks to remove William H. Cosby from the name of its Future Filmmakers Workshop.

The university’s decision was reported on Tuesday by N.Y.U. Local, a student-run news website. The site found that until as recently as Aug. 17 the school’s website included a page for the program, but it has since been taken down.

N.Y.U. “removed the Cosby name in light of recent events,” a university spokesman, Matt Nagel, said in an email on Wednesday. Mr. Nagel said the university would not comment further.

"Fallen star Bill Cosby wants special restrictions when he's deposed by lawyers for a California woman who says he sexually assaulted her when she was a teen.

Cosby’s lawyers told a Santa Monica, Calif., judge they planned to seek a protective order related to the comedian’s highly anticipated deposition — set for Oct. 9 at a secret location."

For what reason?

Because he's so special?

Cosby’s attorneys filed a motion for leave to take discovery in July, based on the theory that Andrea Constand, his accuser in the 2005 case, and her attorney Dolores Troiani “may have played” a part in the release of the deposition, which was obtained by and partially reported on by the New York Times. The comedian’s lawyers had contended that any alleged release of the deposition on their part would have violated a June 11 court order. -
However, on Friday, Judge John R. Padova found otherwise, ruling that Troiani’s actions regarding the deposition are regulated by the 2006 settlement agreement between Cosby and Constand rather than the June order. - See more at: https://www.thewrap.com/bill-cosby-...nd-with-a-legal-setback/#sthash.qtI01wGx.dpuf

I'm also very disappointed in Damon Wayons. He clearly has no idea what he's talking about. His slurs against the women involved in this case as being "unrapeable" reveal, IMO, that the man doesn't even understand the spectrum of actions that are defined by law as "rape" let alone the fact that people from infants to the elderly (of both genders) have been victims of rape.

Come to think of it, Damon Wayans has been off the radar for quite awhile. I don't think he's even on the celebrity C-list now. Wayans was definitely a 90's thang, and all the colors of In Living Color have faded.
