Anyone else see the Nina Simone documentary? She had a nervous breakdown while opening for Bill Cosby and her life spiraled out of control from that moment forward. I'm not kidding.

Well, well, well this ought to prove interesting. It's about time CC is made to answer tough questions, under oath.

I totally agree that it's about time CC has to answer questions.....oh I bet she is undergoing intensive prep by their attorneys. This should be good.

Swarthmore College has now rescinded the honorary degree given to BC.

Swarthmore's board voted to rescind the degree on Saturday and the college announced the decision to the campus community Monday. The recommendation came from both the college's honorary degree committee and the faculty of the college, and the board agreed.

"Mr. Cosby has testified in a deposition under oath, which was made public in July, that he routinely and premeditatively drugged women before having sex with them," said Swarthmore College President Valerie Smith in a statement. "We find that his admitted personal behaviors are wholly inconsistent with our institutional values - and ones we would never want our own students or graduates to emulate."

On Monday, Singer filed a curt notice dropping his efforts to get current Judge Debra Weintraub off the controversial case for being prejudicial against him (read it here). This latest move came four days after Dickinson’s attorneys challenged the Lavely & Singer partner’s November 30 effort with claims that he’d already used up his challenge card.

The Temple University faculty senate has passed a motion that "condemns" Bill Cosby in connection with the sexual assault allegations against him and the board of trustees Chairman Patrick O'Connor for representing him while they both served as university trustees.

The faculty vote comes amid ongoing criticism of the university for failing to denounce Cosby, accused of sexually assaulting dozens of women over several decades, Art Hochner, president of the Temple faculty union, said Wednesday.

You play, you pay. Some how, I don't think these women considered it playing though. I just wish he would admit to it, and accept punishment.

Goodness. If he admitted it, what would we have to discuss? Seriously, BC has enough money to fight such allegations, and the cases may go on for years. Old age may do Cosby in before any punishment.

So true. But a gal can dream.

Bill Cosby, accused by more than 40 women of sexual assault, has filed a lawsuit claiming that several of them lied about him for financial gain.

Mr Cosby, 78, is seeking unspecified monetary damages and said the women inflicted emotional distress.

He called their accusations "nothing more than an opportunistic attempt to extract financial gain from him".

Cosby says 7 women who sued him made false accusations

BOSTON (AP) — Bill Cosby fired back Monday at seven women who are suing him for defamation, accusing them of making false accusations of sexual misconduct for financial gain.

In a countersuit filed in federal court, Cosby alleges the women made "malicious, opportunistic, and false and defamatory accusations" against him. Cosby is seeking monetary damages "to the maximum extent permitted by law."

The women have claimed Cosby defamed them by allowing his representatives to brand them as liars after they went public with allegations of rape and other sexual misconduct dating back decades.

In his counterclaim, the comedian says the women have "engaged in a campaign to assassinate" his reputation and character...

Poor serial rapist being 'defamed'.

Can you imagine if some woman actually did commit a crime or offense against him- they'd probably be dead.

This lunatic has gotten away with his crimes for so long, with so many people buying into his delusional defense, that he believes he's invincible.

I'd really like that to change.

I think I've changed my mind. He DOES need to go to prison, I don't think his old age matters at this point- he's still extremely dangerous.

I hope this maniacal legal stunt backfires on him- big time. Oh, and I'd like to see the karma train finally come for Camille- she's got to be a lunatic in her own right. I can't stand when people defend her.

Cosby's counterclaims, filed Monday, consist of 1) defamation per se; 2) defamation; 3) tortious interference; and 4) intentional infliction of emotional distress.

From a legal standpoint, it's a good strategy—albeit a scorched-earth policy. Cosby is being sued for defamation by seven of the dozens of women who have accused him of sexual assault; the plaintiffs claim that his attorneys' representatives' public responses to the accusations defamed them. His defense will attack the credibility of witnesses against him, seeking to prove they have intentionally fabricated these allegations for monetary gain. That theory of defense parallels his new counterclaims against the plaintiffs: that they are intentionally fabricating these claims for monetary gain.

There's not really a lot of risk here for Cosby, either. Or, another way of looking at it: it couldn't make things any worse.

His legal action is an act of misogyny – perhaps the same hatred that might have driven him, as accusers allege, to rape and sexually assault more than 50 of them

Bill Cosby's attorneys have moved a defamation lawsuit by a Pittsburgh-area woman from state to federal court.

The document filed late Tuesday is known as a notice of removal. It lets someone move a lawsuit to federal court if the parties live in different legal jurisdictions.

The filing indicates Cosby is a resident of Massachusetts, while his accuser, Renita Hill, lives in the Pittsburgh suburb of Baldwin.

"The Nightly Show" marked a year of covering sexual assault allegations against comedian Bill Cosby on Tuesday's episode.

The latest development was Cosby's defamation suit against seven women who Cosby accused of making false accusations.

"That's like if Jeffrey Dahmer sued the families of his victims because he got a tummy ache after eating them," host Larry Wilmore said.

Occidental College in Los Angeles has become the latest university to revoke an honorary degree awarded to Bill Cosby following allegations of sexual misconduct.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry...utm_hp_ref=college&ir=College&section=college
Boston University honored entertainer Bill Cosby with an honorary degree in May 2014, making it the most recent higher education institution to do so. On Monday, it took the award back, but it won't say why it gave Cosby the honor in the first place at a time when multiple women had already publicly said he raped them.

I think BC's latest move is a sort of "thin edge of the wedge" move, one that, if he can prove at least one of the women whom he accuses of defamation was somehow wrong in her allegations, then he can claim to be a victim and use her actions to discredit the rest of the women in future suits.
I would imagine his PIs have earned their pay and brought BC and his legal team information on these seven women that can, in fact, be used to cast doubts on their memories, or would tend to make it seem that he reasonably thought they had consented to participate in the sexual acts that they recall as rape of their own volition, exonerating him.

And if any of the remaining ladies are considering suing him a countersuit might scare them off.

Pretty sure Pressley & co will have found some disgruntled ex boyfriends and the like who will be prepared to go to court and swear that the ***** always be crazy, for the right price of course.

Bill Cosby's lawyers fight deposition of his wife in sexual assault lawsuit filed by seven women

Lawyers for Bill Cosby say they'll fight an attempt to require the comedian's wife to give a sworn deposition in a defamation lawsuit

But Cosby's lawyers filed a motion on Friday to quash the subpoena, saying she has no firsthand knowledge of issues in the lawsuit

They argue that any confidential communications between Cosby and his wife are protected by the Massachusetts spousal disqualification rule

Earlier this week, Bill Cosby's attorneys have moved a defamation lawsuit by a Pittsburgh-area woman, Renita Hill, 48, from state to federal court
