All this time I thought it was about getting your pic taken with guys that come into the club and letting them have a copy to take with 'em so they could show their friends the hot girls who work at the club. In this teaser video for tonight's news on WESH, Bob Kealing talks about there being similarities between Casey and Cynthia Sommer's case and that it was Baez that told him of this case.

She was convicted of murder and it was later overturned and dismissed due to new testing related to the cause of death. The only similarity to Casey's case is that Sommer partied hard and had casual sex partners in the time period after the death. This was presented at the original trial which her appeals attorney later argued unfairly prejudiced the jury and should not have been allowed.

One question this raises for me is will Casey's partying (Fusian pictures) and illegal activities (Target shopping spree) after Caylee was last seen be allowed at trial? Do you think Baez is right to draw a parallel to the Sommer case?

I resurrected the thread to ask if her state of "tipsyness" (according to boyfriend TonE) would hold sway with any jury. TonE stated that she wouldn't have danced if she hadn't been tipsy. I wondered if the defense could explain that she was in some sort of state of denial plus drinking that night. It's these photos (from the Hot Body contest) that really make everyone's blood boil. I was wondering if the photos can be explained in any way, shape or form.

As far as the photos......the two photographers there that night take photos all over Orlando at nightclubs, events, etc....Orlando has a number of websites that display club photos........these guys as well as others are like freelance photographers hired by bars to cature the action so they can let people see what the bar is all about. People in the 21-28 and even older literally try to get their photos taken so they can be seen at all the hot places. While the sites have candids....most of them are posed......You are not PAID to pose....it's not a job.....you simply are being photographed. Now.......at times......bars hire hot models and ........sometimes escorts (not saying that is the case here) to draw more guys in. I doubt though...that KC was there in that capacity. AND IF and this is a ginormous IF..KC was doing anything at all related to shot girls...I refer back to my post before.....likely it was a drink for free if you get people in the door.

TonE stated in his interview (sorry don't have the link) that KC (on this night) ran up a tab of 60 dollars on him. He had told her that it was alright to use his tab, but later it was not alright with him when he discovered how much had been spent. I guess the thing I was interested in was that her clothing is not as provocative as it could have / would have been if she had planned on being in the hot body contest. So, it can be inferred that she didn't set out that night to be in the hot body contest, that it was an impromptu thing resulting from too much alcohol. She looks happy and that is what drives everyone crazy..how can she look happy here? If I were the defense I would be looking for alternative ideas...such as her having a mental "episode" like a black out or something about reality, combined with the effects of alcohol. It wouldn't fly with a jury, but I'd be trying to explain her actions somehow.

I found an ad online not too long ago under Clint House and shot girls in a google search. There was an ad looking for young ladies to come to a bar.......bring at least 10 friends and then they could drink for free.

It was like a promotion type of thing to get cute girls in to draw customers.....

I think this is where the "infamous" job of shot girl manager came into play. It is not a paid position.....just get folks here and we comp your drinks.

...except that Casey put her drinks on TL's tab which p*ssed him off...so I guess even this "job" she wasn't doing too well.

I get what you are saying about Casey drinking to get up the courage to do the contest. Many call it their "Liquid courage". But getting drunk wouldn't make you forget your child was kidnapped or that you murdered your child. Yep, it can make you black out but a black out makes you forget what your doing in the moment, not what you did in the past! It numbs you, keeps you from facing your issues head on but it also often makes one more emotional if they are having issues in their lives. Ya ever meet the "cryingin your beer" type drunk? All they can think about is their sh!tty life, all the people who hurt them, the people they hurt, the things and people they lost, the job and money they no longer have, everyone who has done them wrong... blah blah . Drunks don't forget their issues when they get drunk so no, really I don't see how it would work.


(I'm an addict so please everyone, don't think I'm putting addicts down, i'm just being realistic, OK?)

Therein lies the problem for the defense. There is nothing they can come up with that will sound reasonable. I do believe there is such a thing as 'ugly coping,' but all of Casey's actions show that she was just an uncaring mother that went on with her life as if nothing happened. They can't claim she was coping when she hid the fact that her daughter was missing and never showed any inkling that something was wrong.

IMO they are better off just saying that she was an uncaring mother but that doesn't mean she was responsible for the crime. That has a sliver more credibility than she was a caring mother that was coping in her own way. Her actions prove otherwise.
