SC SC - Brandy Hanna, 32, North Charleston, 20 May 2005

Also see Lankford pled guilty to Obstruction, got two years then was held for the sexual offense. According to SC Inmate Search he is still incarcerated since Nov. 2019.

In 2014 his father died, 2015 he is charged for not paying child support (apparently he got divorced). Anyone know what the sex offenses involved? Something tells me from his inconsistent statements, he killed her and successfully hid her body. He initially lied about spending time with her earlier that night.

Does anyone feel McAdams is more likely the one-as his truck was seen by the neighbor that night, with Brandy there too? McAdams apparently once said to Brandy's mom Donna Parent (per The Disappeared episode) "I could make your daughter disappear and no one could find her". McAdams died not long after investigation of heart attack.

N. Charleston police were far too slow in the early stages. Her uncle Det. Smalley, was so dedicated but died. They seem thorough enough but forensic examination of both men's trucks would've been important. They didn't investigate the angry phone call (may have been Lankfords wife) Brandy received the day she disappeared.

Recently saw the Disappeared episode featuring the Brandy Hanna case. This was incredibly sad, maybe even more so than other cases featured on the show. BH seemed like a genuinely good person; she was a reliable employee/worker & had a good work ethic; she had a good relationship with her mother; and was well-liked. She definitely didn't deserve whatever happened to her.

If this case had been treated more like a crime & less like a pure missing persons case from the beginning, IMHO it probably could have been solved ATT. There were a lot of clues here as to what happened to BH. Sad.

Hopefully the case will eventually be closed/solved and her family will get closure.
