A body was found in an abandoned home in the woods on Southeast Main Street in Simpsonville. The coroner is now calling it a homicide.
Moore said the family believes Boyter-Blauvelt placed the call while in her black 2011 Ford Fiesta, which was unable to be found at the time of her death. The vehicle was later located on White Horse Road, according to Moore. A witness said she saw the vehicle at a self car wash near the 500 block.
He said the vehicle has been secured and is a positive discovery for the investigation.
Marshals believe Blauvelt is traveling alone without a car and is likely hitchhiking or catching buses to travel. "He may be traveling south through California and staying close to the coast, but he could be anywhere along the west coast or within the country"...
He's described as 5 feet 8 inches tall weighing 185 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and has tattoos on his chest, left wrist and arm and right arm. Marshals say he has gone by Blue Blauvelt, John Bluefields, Vincent Mendoza and Victor Sacceti.
It is reported he is traveling with a military-style green camouflage back pack, and camps in local parks or areas that are known to be frequented by the homeless, the Marshal's service said.

It's been nearly six months since 22 year old Cati Blauvelt was found brutally murdered, her body left in the cellar of an abandoned home in Simpsonville.
Cati's estranged husband, John Blauvelt, is accused of the crime. But he's been on the run since November.
Now her family is talking with FOX Carolina, and holding out hope Cati's accused killer will be found, arrested, and brought to justice.
Cati's mom, sister and niece told us about the bright light that was Cati's life.
Patricia Piver is Catis mom, and explained what she misses most about her daughter. She was like a bright light, she just cheered everybody up when they were down. She was always there for anybody who needed her.
John Blauvelt is still on the run and was last seen in Oregon, some time at the end of November and early December of 2016.
The U.S. Marshalls service tells us there are no new developments, that the case is still being investigated, and they are still looking for John Blauvelt.
