A little more about Tina in this article. She must live on the Island, b/c residents seem to know her. (All I could find when I looked before were GA addresses for her.)

She has a pay as you go phone, that she knew was running out of minutes beforehand. So that may explain a lack of phone pings.

A neighbor had just hired her to clean her house—I wonder if she was doing other odd jobs for money? Neighbor said she had planned to pick Tina up at the store she went missing from that Sunday. So maybe she was meeting someone else for a gig the day she disappeared?

She used to serve in the Army—so it seems odd that her sister would describe her as gullible? MOO

Edisto Island residents worried about woman's suspicious disappearance

According to this article someone who hadn’t seen her in a few days called in a welfare check on Aug 17. Police found “upon arriving, some suspicious circumstances” but didn’t elaborate.

Bottom line, they’re not sure exactly when and where she disappeared. The images they have on her on camera at the convenience store are simply the last known images of her. A different article made it sound like she visited the convenience store every day or nearly every day.

Apparently she doesn’t have a car, so she couldn’t have gone far on her own.

Report reveals limited information about disappearance of woman from Edisto Island

Uh oh, a person who lived in her home just one year ago allegedly owed money to someone who was mad enough to shoot him over it. Could someone have come looking for the previous tenant?

Suspect identified in Edisto Island shooting

She lives about 2/10 of a mile from the convenience store—less if you can cut through that property next to it.

Just to clarify, the person that lived in the home with her was charged in the shooting in the article you linked. According to South Carolina court case records a charge of attempted murder was dropped and he was pleaded down to Assault/Battery first degree and was sentenced to time served (323 days) and released in June.

While it isn't clear if he returned to Tina's house after being released, it is possible that someone could have been looking for him. Regardless, I think this case will come down to either that guy or someone connected to that guy.

Good to know! I assumed she hadn’t lived there long because the only addresses coming up for her name were in Georgia. So yes, it seems even more possible now that someone could have come looking for him there—if they knew he’d gotten out.

I hope she’s okay and just needed a break from her life for a little while, but that’s looking less likely as time goes by.

Sister hoping someone comes forward as Lowcountry woman remains missing under suspicious circumstances

Oh no :( this isn’t good!

There is some speculation going on that this UID might be Tina (nothing concrete): SC - SC - Skeletal Remains & Shoes, Murrells Inlet bike path, *Graphic Photos* Nov 2018

Did she have a chance to change her clothes between the convenience store pic and when she went missing?
That is 122 miles away from where she was last seen.

It is always possible, but it seems a long way to go. Also, the court action that identified the guy she had been living with (with the attempted murder charge that was pleaded down) was a civil suit by a towing/repair company that ended up getting their vehicle in lieu of payment. So it isn't clear what kind of vehicle access there was - after all Tina was walking everywhere since she was not known to drive.

The other thing that is intriguing is that Tina lived very close to the store where she was originally said to be last seen. And the new information that she got a ride home is interesting considering how short of a distance that is.

Google Maps

This article has some updated info. Tina's home was a camper in the woods. Here's the google maps of her residence where the shooting took place. Google Maps The article stated that Tina had no working car and sometimes would "catch rides" home from the store which was a daily social trip. Items of hers of important were found scattered around her home. Her boyfriend was in prison when she went missing and police do not believe he was involved. Suspicious disappearance of Edisto Island woman baffles loved ones

wow, the EZ shop is right there by her home... I've been to Edisto - agree it is a small place where everyone is very friendly and folks help and know each other. Finding her stuff scattered? That tells us a lot IMO... how very sad...
