Pick-Up Tied To Missing Woman Recovered

January 9, 2014, 5:07 PM
...
The South Dakota Attorney General’s Office didn’t say when investigators recovered the pick-up truck or where it was found because that is part of the on-going investigation. But officials say there is ‘significant damage to the under carriage of the pickup.’ Law enforcement is asking anyone in rural Beadle, Sanborn, or Davison counties to look for property damage to fences, fields or secondary roads.

Honestly, I had the impression that foul play was involved from the very beginning. In looking at the missing person's poster, it appears that one of the pictures is a mugshot. Looks like she's had a full life. I just hope she's still with us.

Recovered Vehicle Opens New Lead In Missing Woman Case -

WOONSOCKET, SD - Rachel Cyriacks is still missing, but there is a new lead that authorities hope will help them find her.
The Sanborn County Sheriff's office is holding a silver Chevrolet c1500 pickup that is connected to this case. After looking more closely at the vehicle, officers noticed some damage to the underside of the pickup. That's a new clue for officers who feared the other leads in the case had dried up.

The Sanborn County Sheriff knew about this pickup weeks ago, but it wasn't seized as evidence until after New Year's Day.

Home of missing Woonsocket woman vandalized -
content_id_34998.jpg

The home of a missing Woonsocket woman was vandalized Sunday night, and authorities are unsure why. Vandals shattered a window, entered 30-year-old Rachel Cyriacks’ home and broke a table and light fixture, Sanborn County Sheriff Tom Fridley said. Nothing was taken. He says the vandals spray-painted "riverside forever" and an expletive on the front of the home.

I used to live in Sioux Falls, which isn't too far from the Mitchell area.

There's an exit off I-90 for Riverside Road, that is just to the east of Mitchell.

Streetview of the exit on I-90: http://goo.gl/maps/TR7Ll

I'm not sure if Riverside is an actual community, a general area, or it's just the name of the road. The Streetview is about 40 miles from Woonsocket.

Just throwing this out there.

Argus Leader comments on that story:

"You can bet someone close to her knows what happened to her. It's already being said that whoever did it made sure she'll never be found."

and

"Riverside has a gang that specializes in kidnapping woman by sneaking in their cars."

I did a little digging... The comment about a "gang" in Riverside on the Argus Leader is from someone who studied at a culinary school in Portland, Oregon. On one of the Facebook profiles that were previously posted, she has a photo with a guy, and when you hover over him, it says Portland, Oregon.
