So in the same interview, Mark says both that there were "a few things left behind" and that "the backpack was gone and he didn't leave anything behind."? Aren't those two statements contradicting each other? Or am I missing something?

Can't find anything about ER saying anything about a hoodie.

Time for a break and a cuppa (_)?

When he got back at 11:30, his son's dirty cereal bowl was beside the sink. The television was on Nickelodeon. His son's fishing pole was gone. So was his black-and-gray backpack. A few articles of clothing were left behind on the couch.

"His priority was pretty much with his friends, so I wasn't alarmed," Mark said.

NOTE: Not sure what the "few articles of clothing" were that were reportedly left

behind...

There was nothing left behind for the scent dogs, yet there were clothes strewn about on the couch. Was this just a verbal from MR to LE, or did LE take a look at this clothing the first time they were there? If this clothing was from a prior visit then why were they on the couch? Could it be that MR tried to make it look like these clothes were from the current visit, and then LE showed them to another family member who said Dylan hadn't worn them in years?
