Zoom out (5 times) and you will see the Long Island Sound at the top of the map.

In fact, put Sunken Meadow State Park in as the A location for "Get directions" in that link that you sent and you can see how far it is from Gilgo (27 mi).

I'm so used to posting in forums where people know me and my sister's story -- she was a prostitute, lived in the City, was part runaway, part spirited soul, she was 19 when she vanished, there wasn't any cooperation between LE agencies with respect to UIDs at the time -- I'm grasping at straws, but that's all I've got to grab. When the LISK story broke I had so much morose hope that one of the victims would be ID'd as my sister - the whole package fit. I really do wonder if a strong storm washed those bodies up from somewhere else and if there are more from wherever they were resting.

So very sorry about your sister. I would pray to her to ask for some heavenly help to find the murderer of these girls found on Long Island.

Maybe your sister's remains will be found someday, too.

Remember, she is at peace now in a place where no one can ever hurt her again.

I am so sorry that you and your loved ones have been through this and still are.
I pray you find what you need to soon.
Here is a link to her photo and age progression.
For the age progression, personally as someone who draws a lot, I think they have the eyebrows off and feel they would be lower. The nose is also wrong they have it too narrow and tilted. As we age our nose may grow larger at the tip from my understanding.

JudysSister Maureen, I do realize that this is weighing heavy on your heart and mind, but have you gone to the District Attorney Office to inquire about your Sister
and if she could be one of the five out of ten that could be identified as your Sister by the use of DNA. There are Five women of the Ten they found that cannot
be guaranteed to be ID. This may be one possible Avenue for you too go. Also if I may ask where and when was the last time you or anyone else you may know and
have spoken with let you know those answers? Also what city was she last to have been seen in before she went missing? And did anyone know where she was going when she went missing?. How old was she when she went missing?.
I am very sorry for you and your families loss, the loss of a loved one is truly something hard to get over.

Why dont we all stop right here! We all know who the victims are. Now it is time to blow the top off of this investigation. There is usually only one reason why a prosecutor will not say anything about a case. it is because either someone who is high up in the government seats or an officer is involved. Or one of their family members is the killer! If not they would be the first people to bring the killer to justice. All those government officials love to look like the heroes. They always take credit for the hard work that is done by others. Come on we all know why they are being so secretive. Just look at the gentleman that killed himself. Bittle was his name. The family is well to do. Who are they friends with! You all might have found yourself a group of guys who have been doing all the killings.

Is there anyway to get the cold case files for these murders? They cannot keep people from seeing the cases. I would go to the supreme court if need be to get permission to look at the cases. Explain to them; that none of the families have gotten any answers! That you feel that they are holding back stuff that the families have a right to know! They are definitely holding something back.

I was an escort during this period and find all of this very disturbing, it could have been me. There are many avenues of the "hobby" that have gone unnoticed. The search has been narrowed to sites that have since been abbonded by women and terms that are unknown to those unfamiliar with the lifestyle. A quick turn of fate could have landed me in the wrong lap and that's what brings me here. I wish and hope that all of these unsolved cases are brought to light as no woman deserves to be left out in the cold or to suffer at he hands of a killer.

Checking the water would be almost impossible to effectively grid and search. I am new to this site but am retired with a degree in Social Sciences (Psychology/ Sociology/Economics). I grew up surrounded by law enforcement and a good friend of a muder victim. I don't know if I can help but an extra pair of analytical eyes could be of some use...

Everyone has value...i was once a bodyguard in the adult film industry and none of the talent deserves the barbarity of these kinds of people.
