I have been a no-show as well, but now that I have found my password, I wanted to let you all know that Anna now has five great-nieces and a great-nephew!

Also that I was very sorry to hear that SherlockJr, who worked so hard on Anna's case and who contributed to the book Searching for Anna, has passed away.

Anna's case was featured on the television show Missing Cold Cases this morning.

I'm glad her case got some attention. I'd love to see more of the same.

SherlockJR along with Dr. Doogie were my mentors when I first discovered WS and Anna's case. They both taught me so much.

SherlockJR told me if Anna's case wasn't solved during her lifetime she was going to solve it from the other side. And, if that is possible, I believe her.

I live near Felton currently and have friends who are about your age who did live in Felton and went to school there. Let me ask them if they ever had a similar experience.
I am so sorry you went through this but happy that you are ok today.

I had a phone call from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children this morning. There is a new person on Anna's case, and he wanted to give me his phone number and to let me know that the case is still open.

Hi Annasmom, I haven’t been on here for a while but I have been thinking of you and Anna a lot lately as a little 4 year old girl here in Australia went missing nearly 3 weeks ago and was thankfully found yesterday.

I was going to ask you about doing an Ancestry DNA test but decided to read through the latest thread before I posted and found out that you have already done the test, which is fantastic.

I have been doing genealogy for about 13 years now and matching my own DNA results (and a few other people’s) for about 5 years.

I am just wondering if you have done much research into understanding the DNA results/matches you have as I might be able to help you with that if you would like me to. It’s not as straight forward as it may seem, you can’t take it at face value that what is listed as a 1st cousin is in fact a 1st cousin, it may actually be a half sibling or a great grandchild. The higher the centimorgans are the closer the relationship is to you.

Alternatively, I would suggest that you contact Ancestry and explain your situation and ask if one of their expert DNA analysts could have a look at your results for you.

Just a bump to bring Anna's threads to the top of New Posts!
