BBM Are you referring to Marc Mcgee from New Zealand? We spoke about him last year. He's the one that said Travis spoke to him about internet *advertiser censored*.

Let's refresh ourselves on his story:

Jodi Arias: Another mystery witness exposed

"... Marc currently lives in New Zealand. We have heard about a witness the defense has in New Zealand..

Marc and Travis met in the LDS singles ward in Riverside, Ca. In 2000, McGee told my source that he was at a Family Home Evening activity at Bishop Vernon Parker's house. Later in the evening, McGee and Travis were sitting in a car in front of Bishop Parker's house when Travis allegedly confessed to McGee that he had a problem with internet *advertiser censored*. McGee did not mention child *advertiser censored* at that time..."

OK- all refreshed? :)

JM will incinerator him if he sits on the witness chair, IMO.

:juanettes::juanettes:

Refresher thankfully accepted!!!! McGee's 15 minutes are DONE! Yep, you spill your guts about a "guy thing" to some LDS "dude" you really don't know, it morphs from *advertiser censored* to child *advertiser censored*..............rigghhhhttttt.

Come on, Big Boy, tell your tale, heresay is fine in mitigation. Or does Juan scare you that much? >inset clucking noises< If child *advertiser censored* was discussed, ol' Markie would have been duty bound to take it to the Bishop.

Or maybe the conversation was reversed? Hmmmmmm.............Come on ,Mark, save your friend!!!! Free ride to Arizona, all on DT's dime!!! Well, Az's dime.

Oh puleeze, the depths that the DT will go.

Sounds like Judge Stephens is on the ball.

And what kind of "friend" or "associate" refuses to testify in person, on video, or affidavit if a person is looking at the death penalty?
Maybe ones that have nefarious and/or criminal backgrounds, are easily caught in their lies, or are so full of poop, they KNOW their testimony would fall flat.

Seriously, CMJA's OWN FAMILY will NOT take the stand for her...........what does that say? Even in the Hulsey and DeVault trials here recently, the families took the stand in the mitigation phase...........and twitter was pretty nasty with those two.

And this baloney of the witness from out of the country, we KNOW who he is. He's got his 15 minutes of fame on the internet, and now the defense wants him to repeat his "story" in court..........he won't show up because it's all lies.
If the jurors have to stay off social media during the many months that this trial will take, Jodi's witnesses can too if they are so worried about 'cyber-bullying'. I really hope Juan can speak to this hypocrisy by pointing out to the judge the killers' Twitter account, that her mitigation specialist helps manage. :gaah:

What Nurmi is arguing sounds like an appeal issue to me. Doesn't belong in this phase. Also seems to me the DP WOULD be taken off the table if Jodi would agree to LWOP. IMO, that's what she'll get anyway.

Nope! It was never offered to her and Juan wouldn't waste all this time & effort to drop it now. Besides, the Alexander family wants the DP. Juan will get it, trust me.

You were probably correct about missy:jail: hitting her cell wall last night with her wearing the wrist brace today.

Where is the 'date poll' I've seen mentioned? I seem to have missed it. TIA !!

Jodi Arias sentencing trial: Could it all be over Monday? (clip of today's hearing)

"On Friday, her defense attorney, Kirk Nurmi, made a last-ditch effort to have the prosecution's intent to seek the death penalty thrown out, his motion alleging prosecutorial misconduct and inability to get witnesses to testify on Arias' behalf because of a court ruling forbidding testimony in a closed courtroom.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sherry Stephens said that she would rule by Monday..."

Jodi Arias trial; defense wants death penalty off the table (clip of today's hearing)

"Usually in court Jodi Arias is wearing regular street clothes, but today with no jury present she was in jail stripes. Her attorney Kirk Nurmi begged the judge to take the death penalty off the table. .."

Day 23 of Jodi Arias trial: Push to drop death penalty (clip of today's hearing)

"Nurmi told Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sherry Stevens during an afternoon hearing that a number of issues have come up that have made it impossible for his client to receive a fair trial.

Nurmi argued that 14 witnesses have been afraid to come forward because the court won't protect their identity.

He also said that prosecutors withheld key evidence, and that Arias' conviction was based on false testimony...."

Did she not say she murdered Travis Alexander, even though some of it is foggy? I am not sure what LKN is saying that she cannot be convicted of false testimony...she admitted doing it....no? yes?

After JA is sentenced and shipped off to Perryville, will Sheriff Joe be free to reveal secrets about JA while she was in his care? Or is he bound to confidentiality?

Jodi doesn't get the choice to agree to squat. The DA never offered her nada and they won't. She's up that proverbial creek.

The murderer herself has just as many sites supporting her lying arse. Mommy and Daddy are panhandling money for their poor little butcher child. JA is NOT afraid for her life. Plus the defense has no problem with her cray cray supporters on SM.
JA is just "itchin" to get in front of those cameras again. To give interviews, publish her Manifesto... write a book about herself. She is just a victim doncha know?

Ok, I don't know how legit this site is, some people tell me it isn't to be trusted, others say this person is OK. You be the judge here.

Article by C Beswick (Examiner) that recaps the mess and yesterday's events over the hearing. Supposedly JA cried when it was ORDERED to release the sealed testimony. The article is very long and very detailed. Even gives her view on JSS (I agree with her). Worth a look.

I feel slightly more supportive of JSS after reading that, but only slightly.

From above article:

"The Arizona Supreme Court action that occurred this week in the Jodi Arias trial is nothing short of a blow to the defense. We understand that the convicted killer cried at the defense table in open court when the news of the ruling came to light. For many it was the first sign in over a year that the killer showed any emotion over the trial where she awaits sentencing for butchering Travis Alexander."

The only emotion is she is not getting her way, and I think she was blindsided by this. Good!

Yes, she admitted killing him but even if she had not testified to that, the forensic evidence alone was enough to convict on first degree murder. Evidence clearly showed Arias premeditated a horrific brutal murder and carried it out and then went about her life. Her cover up proves she knew that her deed was wrong and that made an insanity plea not an option.

This killer did the deed, was tried and convicted. Now she must receive an appropriate penalty. That's all this should be about; it has nothing to do with her victim at this point. This trial is about sentencing a murderer and mitigation should focus on the murderer's character, lifestyle and background--not the victim's.

IMO

Yeah, judge comes off sounding almost judicial there. I found it refreshing but I am not yet convinced she will be able to sustain a judicial temperament for the duration.
