The reporter Omid Scobie who often seems to have insider info on the Sussexes has an interesting thread

    Twitter

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have shared their last ever #SussexRoyal post on Instagram and ended the use of their http://SussexRoyal.com website. As the couple begin their Household transition on March 31, new details have been shared by a Sussex spokesperson.

Though the Sussexes “would prefer that in the immediate weeks and months the focus remains on the global response to Covid-19,” they understand there are final questions that need to be addressed before they officially step back as senior working royals. On with the details...

—As reported, plans for the Sussex Royal Foundation will not continue. Instead they will focus on building a new non-profit charitable organisation (which former #PivotalVentures director Catherine St-Laurent, the couple’s new chief of staff, will serve as executive director of).

—Harry’s sustainable tourism venture, #Travalyst, is now being established as an independent non-profit org in UK. He’s currently working with partners to better understand how they can “aid in global recovery” when restrictions related to controlling the Covid-19 pandemic ease

—Moving forward, US/world media relations for the couple will be managed “in the interim” by PR firm Sunshine Sachs in New York (who were originally going to handle comms for the foundation). Former Royal Foundation aide James Holt will take care of UK/Commonwealth.

—As confirmed last night, the Sussexes have made their own private security arrangements. “Reporting and speculation on security measures,” says a rep, “adds risk to all this receiving protection. . . and potentially members of the public.” No further comment will be made.

Other details: - Harry and Meghan “remain committed” to their royal patronages. - They retain their HRH titles but will no longer use them. - No other royal comms reps will act on behalf of Sussexes, “including Palace spokespeople, household representatives nor royal sources.”

The new arrangements will be reviewed in 12-months time (agreed by both the Royal Family and the Sussexes). Though Harry and Meghan are clearly focused on their new chapter, don’t expect to hear much from them over the next few months...

All good, positive steps. James Holt has great credentials having worked at no10 and for the Cambridges, I'm glad they have included him in their staff to deal with the British side of things. They're also retaining the American team which I guess Meghan is more comfortable with.

The security cost issue (which has suddenly dropped from £20m to £4m :D) has been sorted. How it is paid is none of our business as it's privately funded.

They continue with their charity work and patronages as well as launching a sustainable tourism venture.

They're not senior royals from tomorrow and they've promised to lie low for a bit.

    HOORAY!!

Sunshine PR had been retained well before the marriage and the contract was never terminated. And yet again, the HRH reference will always be thrown out for keeping their anxiety at bay. How many times does that reference need to be thrown out? Hoping they can relax their status fears soon. Too much else going on to remind ppl about that. MOO

I am shocked they moved to the US. But then again, Harry is a party guy so maybe he wants more action.

Meghan got him to quit smoking. I hope he has cut down on drinking as well.

LA area. Wow. So filled with issues there.

If you deactivate Instagram the info is still there but hidden, it will reappear if the account is reactivated.
If you delete it everything is wiped forever.

LA is becoming the next hot spot for Covid. It all boils down to money. And they need to start making money so they quickly moved so they wouldn't get stuck in Canada and Canada couldn't protect them anymore. I feel bad for PC. His purse will get drained before PW takes over as P of Wales

Inside Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex's royal residence, Bagshot Park

Inside Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex's royal residence, Bagshot Park
The Earl and Countess of Wessex live with their children Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn

Prince Edward and Sophie live in the mansion house with their two children – Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn – and until recently we have never been given a look inside.

The Grade-II listed building is set within 51 acres of land, offering the family plenty of space to explore and spend time outdoors while social distancing during the coronavirus lockdown. It is also located just 11 miles away from Windsor, where the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh are currently self-isolating, making it ideally placed for family get-togethers when the social distancing measures are eventually lifted.

    Really???!!??

When was recently diagnosed wasn't he? Not sure what the self-isolation policy is in the UK. I just assumed 2 weeks.

Very glad he is feeling well

It's 7 days, providing your temperature is normal at that point. Other household members need to isolate for 14 days to allow for incubation. Hence why Camilla is still isolating.

The Mirror is claiming to have an exclusive on their security and saying that they will still have taxpayer funded Met police officers in addition to private security

Meghan and Harry still protected by Met Police team despite leaving royal family

"The Met is struggling to put together a long-term team to work with Harry and Meghan in their new role outside The Firm.

Insiders have revealed there has been “little to no willingness” among protection officers to work for the couple.

One source said: “These jobs are the creme-de-la-creme of being a protection officer. Yet, right now, it’s not looking like an attractive prospect to anyone.

"No one wants to move their family between multiple countries. No one is clear what the plan is or where they will be based in the medium to long term.”
