12:22pm: Mr Byrne asked Dr Robertson to comment on the adverse affects of the anti-depressent drug Zoloft of which the active component in the Serotonin.

Dr Robertson said elevated levels of Serotonin could cause "Seratonin toxicity" or "Serotonin syndrome" in patients.

"When you get too much of this drug you can get cases of more profound confusion, increased agitation, unusual behaviours ... elevated temperatures," he said.

Dr Robertson said the drug could promote "suicide ideation" in people using the medication.

A few interesting comments he's said so far.. still going through..

"Fuller: did you call Allison's friend Kerry-Anne Walker. Gerard: didn't anticipate Allison would have walked that far #badenclay"

I think Fuller should have said two things in this section of questioning. He should have pointed out that when someone is missing it's not just about where they could have walked but who they could have phoned, given she had her phone. Also when he said why did you not call her parents he said that he was busy with police Fuller could have said but why did you not call her parents BEFORE phoning the police in the first place. That's what most men would do, they'd think a woman would call her mum."

"Fuller: your dad came over, you and sister searched streets, why take the Captiva. Gerard: my car had been in an accident #badenclay"

Glad Fuller pointed out it was drivable and he had been driving it.

When asked why he didn't show the doctor all the other injuries Gerard said "Gerard says no, they were self inflicted. It just didn't seem relevant. "

So the ones he did show the doctor were NOT self inflicted then they were NOT caused by him with a razor? :)

I'm still reading to see whether Fuller caught that line and pointed that out.

Again, sticking to the script of Allison going for a walk.

The toxicologist says the 'syndrome' he mentioned earlier, often body adjusting to new drug. #badenclay @7NewsBrisbane

David Murray ‏@TheMurrayD 43s

Fuller says changes after death can affect drug levels. Dr Robertson agrees #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 1m

He agrees that death can affect the way the levels appear in the body #badenclay

How clever must Alison have been to haul herself 14 klms in the dark , overmedicated, confused, suicidal, and kill herself, and then bury herself half way in the mud under a bridge, in the one place where it takes 11 days with 100's searching to find the body..

all on the spur of the moment, apparently... no warning.. remembered to throw her phone away, keep her jewellery on, get her hair done for the occasion, arrange a sleepover for her kids, watch the footy show, arrange to meet someone in the morning, arrange to return ball gowns....

astonishing , really.. sort of like a superwoman scenario.

...and pull her jumper up over her head!

This is good for the prosecution. Tides are not accurate unless data taken from the actual day OR at the exact same time of the year

Thanks for answering my question in advance, JK.

Thanks Khemistry, b.bye!

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 42s

He says 'post mortem re-distribution' refers to the way the levels move around after death #badenclay

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 40s

Dr Robertson says concentrations will increase in central region of the body more so than peripheral, ie legs. #badenclay

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 47s

Dr Robertson says the study he referred to doesn't talk about how long the people had been deceased. #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 45s

The position of the body can also make a difference #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 21s

Chemicals in the blood can end up back in the liver, for example #badenclay

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 41s

Dr Robertson says another study dealt with people who had been dead 24 to 48 hours. #badenclay

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 45s

Dr Robertson agrees the people in that study had 20-fold concentrations in liver after 24/48 hrs. Allison's liver was 10-fold. #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 21s

Chemicals in the blood can end up back in the liver, for example #badenclay

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 41s

Dr Robertson says another study dealt with people who had been dead 24 to 48 hours. #badenclay

Gotcha - overdose theory gone - KERPOWWW!

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 30s

Dr Robertson says broadly speaking, Sertraline is considered low toxicity. #badenclay

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 47s

Dr Robertson says studies show people on anti depressants have a higher risk of suicide. #badenclay

Correlation factor. Do depressed people not on anti-depressants have a higher suicide rate than depressed people taking anti-depressants. Isn't it a function of depression rather than a function of ant-depressants?

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 35s

He agrees that the drug taken by Allison - Zoloft - is low toxicity #badenclay

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 30s

Dr Robertson says broadly speaking, Sertraline is considered low toxicity. #badenclay

You'd have to wonder why they even bothered to have this bloke up there

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 41s

Dr Robertson agrees the levels of Sertraline in Allison's liver are not consistent with an acute overdose leading to death. #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 20s

It is also difficult to die from a Zoloft overdose #badenclay

Methinks Michael Byrne QC, as good as he may be, simply did NOT understand the significance of the sertraline levels, liver concentrations, and post-mortem redistribution.

But we did... ;) And so did the prosecution.

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 26s

The level in blood taken from Allison was elevated, twelvefold #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 25s

This is compared with somebody alive #badenclay

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 47s

Dr Robertson says "relative to clinical numbers", Allison's reading was high at .059. #badenclay

Oh god - I really hope they're forced to differentiate between liver and peripheral blood levels...

hard to believe that Alison would kill herself.. she had it made, if Gerard is to be believed.. he did the ironing, put the kids to bed, sang to them, did the cooking, cleaned out the cupboards, organised her insurance policies, started up a business , prominent in the community, a scout, an advisor, a counsellor, a sex expert, a psychologist, an accountant, irresistible , wealthy friends, helpful mum and Dad and sister, bon vivant and traveller, excellent driver, mechanic, computer expert, placatory in the extreme, good looking, never smells, a listener, ....

Sarah Elks ‏@sarahelks 28s

Defence expert Dr Robertson says levels of Sertraline in liver of Allison #badenclay were not consistent with acute deadly overdose

Katrina Blowers ‏@katrinablowers 49s

Toxicologist says sertraline levels in Allison #badenclay 's liver not consistent with acute overdose leading to death. @7NewsBrisbane

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 41s

Dr Robertson says he can't completely explain the elevated levels of drug in some parts of Allison's body. #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 49s

The doctor agrees that he cannot explain the elevated levels of Zoloft in Allison's system #badenclay

Kate Kyriacou ‏@KateKyriacou 27s

Dr Robertson agrees the levels in Allison's body are not consistent with Sertraline related deaths. #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 40s

It may well be caused by the decomposition of her body #badenclay
