I guess I'll start.
I truly believe Lindsey was taken by someone she knew. I believe she got into a car with that someone for a possible ride home or so she thought. I also think it is possible she decided to go to another friends house to see if " they " could spend the night or vica versa. I think it is someone related to someone she knows. So far I can't pinpoint anyone of interest until we hear a little more from LE, and do a little more diggin.
LE has put out an explanation as to why it was possible the dogs could not pick up her scent anywhere I think they stated the extreme heat would cause this to happen.
So this leaves a handful of theories for sure.
I am sure I will be back at sometime to update , change my mind...
I think there are two possible theories:
The first is that she was hit by a vehicle and the driver took Lindsey to conceal the crime. Maybe at first, Lindsey was stunned and in light-shock (explains why there was no scream) so the driver took Lindsey but before they traveled too far, she passed away (internal injuries) in the culprit's vehicle. The driver has Lindsey's body hidden well with-in McCleary or its outskirts.
The second theory is that she got into the vehicle with some teenager she knew (I say teenager - possibly older friend of her brother) who took Lindsey, sexually assaulted her, and then killed Lindsey to keep her quiet. At least one of her friends know who the teenager is and are too fearful to speak-up. Lindsey's body is hidden within the town, to be moved after the case's visibility dies down.
In my opinion
-------------
It has crossed my mind more than once that this may have a teenager or two involved.
Just wondering if something similar to this could have happened to Lindsey:
In a city I used to live in, there were numerous news articles about the many "tween" girls who would congregate at a downtown mall to hang out. Teenage boys and men affiliated with gangs and drugs would befriend them, and many girls were kidnapped and forced into prostitution.
Seems like gangs and drugs are invading the smaller towns now.
Just a thought.
