Did they try tracking dogs? I wish we knew the last time anyone else actually saw the baby alive and well....

According to WREG, detectives posit that Aniston “at the very least, was seriously injured.”

The report indicates the quest to find Aniston has been called off because police have made an exhaustive search of where the child could be and “have no other obvious places to look” for her.

According to the Huffington Post, on Friday, police searched a local landfill looking for the baby girl using cadaver dogs.

Seems to me there needs to be a general area to search. Maybe, if the mom has a phone, her whereabouts can be tracked that morning. Except....I have a feeling that LE believes baby Aniston may have been gone a day or two before mom says she was.

BBM - That's exactly what I think also. It was always kind of vague as to when baby Aniston was last seen---and the answer here lies with the "mother" (using the term loosely), who really needs to start talking.

Not that I believe it, but lets say she did leave the children alone. I just can't fathom someone doing that. Most mothers (myself included) with a baby that small get's nervous walking 10 feet outside to get their mail when a baby is sleeping, yet she just was so beyond lazy she left it alone?

Slightly O/t: One of the comments up there reminded me of this story. When my cousins were 3 and 2 months my aunt had a medical issue she didnt yet know about. She was walking down the hall and passed out and lost consciousness. When she came to she rushes to check on her children and the crib has a bunch of cheese in it. The baby woke up and cheese was the only thing my cousin could reach in the fridge. She was trying to help obviously, but it could of taken a really bad turn. For some reason I dont think that's the case here though honestly. It doesnt fit.

Bond hearing set for mother of missing Memphis baby

<snipped>
The mother of a missing 7-week-old child made a brief appearance in court Monday morning, but will remain jailed until at least next week on $500,000 bond. Andrea Walker, 33, will have a bail hearing Jan. 21, where attorney Leslie Ballin hopes to have the bond reduced to $25,000. For now, she remains jailed on charges of aggravated child abuse and aggravated child neglect, both relating to the missing infant.

Ballin said outside the courtroom Monday that he expected his client’s charges will be upgraded to homicide.

The key word is "most". Unfortunately there are women (and men) who see no problem at all with leaving a sleeping child alone in the house while they run out for a few minutes or longer, or even think that a 2 or 3 year old is a suitable baby sitter for an infant. And that doesn't even go into the people who are sure their 5 year old is up to the responsibility. We read about it hear all the time and no doubt it goes on much more frequently but fortunately doesn't end up in tragedy so we don't hear about it, or they are never caught.
Look at all the people who have left their children in the car while they run in and pick up a few things at the store, or have a few drinks, or play a few hands at a casino.
But, while I am sure this is one of those types of mothers, my bet is something far worse happened and she figured copping to leaving her kids alone was far less damaging to her then saying what really happened.

Why would it be curious that a woman from a middle class neighborhood with employment by the federal government hired/retained a decent defense attorney? Surely not because she's African-American?

I never knew the exact date. For my own personal reasons Thank You!
I am lucky I was conceived in 1967!

Where is this baby?
I am not buying this story.
I wonder if mom regularly left the 3yr old alone when taking the 5yr old to school...
moo
Did the school yr resume Jan 8th ?
It was so darn cold here in GA the 6th & 7th.
Was there not a bus for the child to ride ?
How far away was the school ?
Public or Private /Church kindergarten ?

I need to do some research.

I wouldn't care if she was purple or green worthless is worthless!
Maybe she should have used some of that money to hire a babysitter!!

Imo I still think she may have been trying to get back at the baby's father. She may have been overwhelmed with three children. Just yesterday a woman here in Utah killed her two children and herself right after her boyfriend moved out. This happed in syracuse Utah.
