Closing arguments begin… assistant district attorney Margaret Sagi says ‘He is in that time hunting down Sgt. Baker, it was a ruse to buy time.’

Closing arguments: Wiggins’ defense says it was not premeditated saying ‘6 minutes he does nothing, now we’re talking seconds when the plan was hatched.’

Closing arguments completed. Breaking for lunch. After lunch Judge will give jury instructions and select four alternates which will be separated from the 12, but will not be sent home.

I thought the prosecution did a good job in closing, nullifying anything the defense put forth.
Agree. I think it will be a relatively fast verdict. Maybe not today, but certainly by tomorrow. I am wondering how others following this trial are thinking. Wiggins is charged with 10 counts.
Edited to correct number of counts charged.

I don't understand why there was even a trial.
Defense hoping to avoid death penalty.
State, defense rest cases in Steven Wiggins murder trial

"...The state is seeking the death penalty in the case. In opening statements of the trial, the defense said “there’s no question” Wiggins killed Sgt. Baker, and that Wiggins doesn't deny it. But, the defense says there's question to whether or not the act was premeditated..."
