I know, right. Even if she was going into the woods to look at a dead turkey, WHY would she take her items with her? She thought she was coming back. Why not just put them in the car? As far as blood flecks on the grass, why would you zero in on a small amount? I'm so confused:banghead:

Ok so what does that tell ya????SHE KNEW THE PERSON!!!!!!!!She would not walk off with a stranger into the woods im sorry..She knows the guy!

If the person responsible didnt have to report to work till 10 even 9, he still had time to bury her and get his but to werk tossing her things as he went..

I spent a bunch of time looking at pictures of caves around that area on google images. Didn't find one that resonated with my thinking. Did get my computer 'grabbed' and taken to a place that was trying to sell me antispy for my horribly infected computer. As you can see, I did my my machine back from the gremins...as my GOOD anti spy didn't let it take it all the way.

The 'cave' I'm thinking about isn't much of a cave...but there's a rolling hill off to the right side of it if you were looking into the opening. That's where I was thinking the perp might have taken her, as I thought about the case.

TBI has all of that, but who knows what they do with random thoughts like that?

**O/T for just a sec...

Above BBM..Thank your lucky stars[or better yet sing the praises of your worthwhile anti-spy gear on your 'puter]..Because my 'puter did not fare so well..In fact those d@mn gremlins came in a "google redirect virus" that slipped its way in the tiniest of crevices thru the back door..just at the very right second of vulnerablility and before I could even begin "fighting the d@mn gremlin virus" it had already literally eaten up my entire 'puter..Never in all my life have I seen something so well executed down to the most minute of details regarding this homemade hacker virus and it's most aggressive attack and entire take over of my wonderful 'puter.:sobbing:
My computer is now literal garbage bound as of this moment only able to run half-azz and that's in "safe mode"..so to all fellow posters beware of the viruses that are out there these days..they are nothing like the viruses of yesteryear and almost impossible to rid yourself of once they have made their entry into your system..I have spent a nice chunk of money attempting the fight for my favorite laptop and unfortunately as much as I hate to admit defeat[esp against gremlin viruses such as this]but it has literally destroyed everything good in my entire core..:again sobbing harder:

So for the veering slightly O/T with my reply and the above post plz accept my apologies.. but all members I am certain could use a good ol' reminder of keep your eye out for these nasty vermin and BEWARE because I certainly wasn't anywhere as lucky as Mick describes he was..:even harder sobbing: and it has cost me big time{and from researching about this "google redirect virus" alone there are literally thousands a day that it is infecting}..KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN AND NEVER IGNORE ANY SIGNS OF YOUR COMPUTER NOT ACTING 100% APPROPRIATE!! never hurts to err on the side of caution..so I know for me atleast I will be OVERLY cautious from here on out...
..and now->

You'd have to like desert to enjoy that area. Joshua Tree is pretty interesting though. They have some of the biggest rocks I've ever seen. The Joshua trees are interesting too.

We have some trees to look at here:

Her not dropping her books and purse does seem to lead to her knowing the perp. Even HS said she dropped the lamp

Personally I still think Holly is alive and waiting to be found.
In my opinion, she is the unlucky one out of more than just two attempts at abducting someone that fits the perp's "type".
I don't think anyone is about to be arrested, and if the blood belongs to the perp, he is not on file.
I may very well be wrong and have been many times before,
but I think this is a man in his 30's with a college/military background and is not ignorant of LE or their tactics.
I spent many summers in Parsons and surrounding areas, anywhere around the river.
I know of many caves on private property.
LE is aware of them also, if they are mapped.
IMO, not all of them are.
Praying and won't give up until I am forced to!!!!

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee criminal minds i watch it every day and there are marathons on the weekends lol We need garcia and dr reid lol
they would find her LOL

Has everyone checked out the "Investigation Discovery Channel"? All in-depth true crime shows, all the time. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I think LE are making a mistake when it comes to not giving any info. I understand keeping some of it closed.. hmm what are every-ones elses opinion on this.

Giving out information may cause the suspect to know exactly where he stands. I'll go with LE doing what they want to do - they've done this before - they have experience with perps.

I watched "The Fremont Bomber" this morning. It was incredible what lengths LE went to to put all the pieces together - many specialists worked on this case. It took time, but they proved their suspect guilty.

I have faith LE is doing the right thing by keeping mum.

IMO Holly didn't carry these items herself. The perp did.
All for his own obfuscating purposes.

I really have to go away again for a while, but I am of the opinion that he gloamed onto her at college.
He's not stupid.
If she were killed when taken or shortly thereafter, she would have been found by now with all of the dogs being used.

I have a hypothetical question. If you were being attacked in your driveway, would you hold on to your lunchbox &/or school books?

Yes. I would likely clutch them to my chest like a shield. Partially for familiarity, partially to keep the man from looking at or touching my chest. It might be different if she had been dragged, and would have had to worry about keeping her balance while running, but if she was just walked into the woods, I can see her holding her books, papers, probably lunchbox on top or looped over her wrist, as well, as tightly to her as she could. Heck if her books were heavy, she might have kept hold simply hoping to clobber him with them. And they have referred to the lunch "purse" so I wonder if it didn't have a strap or loop of some sort to where she didn't have to actually hold on to it.

I just feel sad for Holly.

No need for me to state any opinions or ask any questions anymore. I feel like I can only just sit and wait until they find her.

I do hope people would do differently if it was me.

I agree. I don't think she screamed until she was in the woods. This was someone who knows her school schedule. Who knows, maybe her brother usually went to school and didn't that day for some reason & that is why he was there. I think the duct tape they found is related to this case too.

exactly, it dosent seem she was startled she let him lead her. I really think she knows him. Or knew him JMO

If this was a stranger she knew her brother was in the house she would scream and kick hopeing to be heard! JMO she would have a better chance Clint hearing her .

I have a 15 yr old and a 24 yr old both boys we get up at i get up at 5 30 to get the guys moving. It is very quiet outsde in the mornings and the boys sure have tv s on but they would hear screaming the house is one level and i believe Hollys house has no upper level...

oh i think so tooo. what if when he put the tape on her he had covered her nose also and she stopped breathing so he ripps it offf . JMO

If you were startled or grabbed or attacked wouldn't you drop everything and try and fight off attacker especially if you had been cut??? I think this is weird that nothing but flecks of blood were found. I wonder exactly how much she was carrying?

I have a feeling her holding on to her purse and books is like holding to her life, as long as she did not drop them she did not have to admit how serious her condition was.

I'm taking a guess but its possible that if some reports are calling it a "lunch purse" it may have a strap on it that you can either put over your shoulder or at the very least slide your lower arm into to keep your hands free. If he grabbed her by the arm(s) unless she put up a struggle, I can see how her items were still locked on her arm or shoulder.

The whole blood issue....color me confused too. A fleck is a tiny spot or mark or streak (I googled it :rocker:) and is usually used to describe the amount of blood found in bodily waste such as urine, feces, vomit, saliva, etc....
So maybe the blood wasn't found by itself but was in some type of bodily fluid and LE just isn't saying, the brother has some really really good eyesight, or there is more blood than just "flecks"

Unless the tow cases are connected, and the perp learned from his mistakes with Heather. He might have instructed her to hang onto whatever she had, and not scream (both the things that heather did, if I'm not mistaken.) If the duct tape is also connected, she may have screamed when he went to put it on her, as she realized it could be her last chance to scream. The other neighbor only heard her scream because she was outside, IMO. Her brother was inside, might have had water running, might have had a video game, tv, radio on, any number of things that made it so the neighbor outside heard her scream, but the brother inside the house did not.

The Lunch thingy might be one of those canvas totes....
