David Swift's attorney claims investigators didn't ask for interview

The husband of murder victim Karen Swift is breaking his silence. It is triggering a war of words with Dyer County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say David Swift won't talk. Swift says investigators never followed up with him.

"We've called his attorney on numerous occasions trying to get an interview with him and they just tell us it's going to happen," Dyer County Sheriff's Office Investigator Terry McCreight said. "It's three years and it hasn't happened yet."

David Swift told the Dyersburg State Gazette in a recent interview that investigators did not want to talk with him after they learned he had an attorney.

This is one of those cases that periodically crosses my mind. I wish Karen could have justice! I wonder how her children have coped not having closure to their mother's murder?
