Public’s Help Requested in Identifying Body Found in Polk County

UPDATE (Monday, Nov. 5):

The TBI has released details and sketches of tattoos on a body found in Polk County last week.

The TBI said on Twitter that the remains were recovered by the Regional Forensic Center out of Knoxville. The race and approximate height of the man are currently unknown. The body was found about 4 miles west of TN Highway 30, just south of the Reliance community.

The discovery was made on Benton Mountain, about four miles west of Tennessee Highway 30, just south of the Reliance community.

Law enforcement officers with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office and Cleveland Police Department were also present during the investigation.

The remains were recovered by the Regional Forensic Center of Knoxville. It has been determined that the body is that of a male, but the race and approximate height are currently unknown. Upon examination of the remains, multiple tattoos were observed on the man’s legs.

One of the tattoos says, "I Love My Mother." Others show impish figures, including a couple of jack o lanterns.

There is a character limit and I couldn't fit any more words. If someone searches Tattoo this thread will come up because the full word is in the thread.
It would be helpful to find descriptions of his other tattoos and write them in the thread if you want to help anyone searching terms. I just put down the ones that jumped out at me first (and that would fit).

It's a little confusing that some articles say these were "skeletal remains" but they have tattoo sketches. I wonder if the skeletal description was incorrect or if they were only partially skeletal. Having several tattoos but only on the legs seems unusual as well.
Sketches are very primitive--Possibly homemade or prison tattoos?

It seems to me the tattoos belong to a young person. Maybe he was a street skater. Jack O lanterns...maybe he was from Irish decent or his name was Jack. Just speculation.

The tattoo with the green could mean est. (meaning established) with the number 9 and a tiny 7, 97 and could be his birth year. In that case this person would be 21 years old.

Daniel Harrison Greer? Missing Person Case

Such a sad story. His father was murdered when he was 3, he is mentally ill and now missing since 2016. He has scars from surgery after a skateboarding accident. The surname Greer has origins in Ireland. Tattoos are not mentioned.

I drive through Polk County to get to my parents' house, and the area they are describing seems fairly remote, which is backed up by him being found by hunters. You are not terribly far from both Georgia and North Carolina in that part of the state, but I think you or whoever brought you there would need to be local or otherwise familiar with the area.

Some of these look like they might be Halloween flash tattoos. You can go into the tattoo place on Halloween and choose a design for a low price. There are probably loads of shops that do that, though.

One is definitely the logo for the anime/manga Soul Eater. It could be that this doe is a fan of Soul Eater, or it could be that he saw the design and thought it was cool, or that an anime loving tat artist had it on as one of their Halloween flash designs.

Maybe...tattoos could be done after missing or not shown to anybody, lots of young people are secretive about it. But so many tats...and not even on a hidden spot. But then, who would never put out his trousers? If you are sexual active you would. Lot's of thoughts about that (relating to this case). He is young, kind of an einzelganger/lonely, maybe not attractive for girls (woman). Or, he was sexual active but not a local, somebody would have recognized the tats sooner. He was bored, maybe even a little self inflicting....and why only on his legs (that is to say...they didn't mentioned tattoos on other places, maybe the body was to far gone....) brings on another question, how could that be possible....The "I love my mother"...is another mystery, its quit a statement, for younger people most certain I guess ....It is totally written out and that seems "different" to me. just my thoughts and speculation.

The "I love my mother" tattoo reminds me of Kern County Jane Doe, who had a tattoo that read "Mother I love you"

Wondering if the tattoo in the most bottom-right hand corner of the 'Calf and Shin' section could be that of one of the ghost Pokemon, given that he could possibly be a fan of anime/manga? I'm really just guessing this, but the tattoo looks a bit like a Pokemon to me....

If there are tattoos on his legs only, he probably did them himself. IMO
