I've been following the case of 3 year old AJ Elfalak in Australia, who has autism and is non-verbal. Miraculously, AJ was found alive several hours ago on his 4th day missing on the family property of 650 acres in NSW. The parents said that he wouldn't wander and they thought he must have been abducted (even though there were several adults and children nearby when he went missing.) He was found sitting in a creek, lapping up water, only 470 meters (approx .3 mi) from the house, in an area that had been searched many times by LE and by family. There were caves and cliffs in the area, but somehow he found his way safely to the creek.

Found Alive - Australia - Anthony ‘AJ’ Elfalak, 3, Putty (Hunter Region), NSW, 3 Sept 2021

This is the sort of thing that keeps me on the fence about Summer. Even though I think it is less likely than I once did, I still think that she might have wandered away and not been found in spite of repeated searches.

So today I was thinking what if Summer didn’t make it home at all. What if the last sighting was at the H house?

What if the boys never did see Summer but were told what to say?

Somehow to me the story of transplanting, washing hands, going for candy, walking her to the house seems too structured and rehearsed. Just MOO and I hope it didn’t happen this way.

I found TIR last night to be interesting. I was really struck by the differences in the way families went about searching for their loved one. Two families have been actively searching every day, losing income, keeping their loved one’s face in the media whenever possible. And Summer’s parents are prank calling abuse victims on YouTube. Seemed like a drastic difference in behavior. It was heartwarming to see families behave in a manner consistent with the way many of us instinctively feel we’d react if we were to be faced with someone we love going missing. At the same time, I’m so sorry for Summer and I wish there would be daily searches for her. I wish it felt like they were actively searching for her, but it just doesn’t feel that way to me. JMO.

Think this is more to do with taking the high road because you don't have the info and competing you tubers that don't like each other.

Of course the parents behaviour and actions are relevant.

MOO

Of course it is relevant to something; but the new information (existence of prank call and what was said in it) doesn't help Equusearch narrow the search area down in any way, so I can see both gentlemen's points.

I would think if the boys saw/heard anything authorities would have gotten that info from them already and we'd have seen some action from LE.

Oh wow, that is awesome! I didn't know he'd been found. Amazing. And yes, it's still possible Summer wandered away.

If Equusearch goes back, and I hope they do, I hope they’re allowed on the property. The foliage is so dense and we haven’t seen much about grid searches on the property. I’d think it would take multiple full searches to be able to really clear that area. There’s been enough time gone by now, rains and weather may have shifted trees or logs, etc., you never know what could be found in another search. JMO.

Or the boys never looked up from their tv/devices when they were told to watch Summer, so never actually saw her.

Agree. Its is too rehearsed.

I thought the possibility of the boys never seeing her could have happened, but then I heard DW say that the youngest son said he wished he had played with her like she wanted him to. Course I have to consider the source, DW, on that. DW and CW have lost all credibility with me.

The youngest may have said that but he may have been referring to another time. And yes, the source is questionable.

I agree. The property needs to be searched again thoroughly. When watching the video by DW of his property made me realize how thick and challenging the landscape would be to search.

I think it's relevant to the criminal investigation but not necessarily relevant to physically finding Summer. I think since Ron is now officially working with Equusearch he is taking the position that it's his job to help find missing people and not pretend to be involved with a criminal investigation as a former detective.

I was glad to hear Dave get back to that neutral Equusearch position. I think he, and the organization, realized that you can't criticize and essentially compete with LE and then have them welcome you into a search to find a missing person. Dave mentioned that Equusearch was brought in to a missing person's case over the weekend and they found the young man within an hour. That's what Equusearch is so excellent at.

I don't know what I personally think yet but I do think it's possible that if all the boys were engrossed in their video games and their mom said "watch Summer," they may not have looked up and actually saw her at all. Then later it would be possible for a parent to say "Didn't you see Summer? She walked right by you into the house" and the boys think they must have saw her even if they didn't/can't remember if they did.

I got pranked once in a fairly similar way years ago--somebody who was a good voice imitator faked my friend's voice and tried to convince me a guy we both knew was in love with me and I should go up to him at work the next day and give him a big kiss. Fortunately my real friend called a bit later and figured out the other person was a fake.

We never figured out who the fake was.

Can't imagine any motivation other than meanness, for my incident or for CW.
Agreed !

Unless it's a silly verbal joke and the other party knows it's meant to be fun ... I'd never 'prank' anyone.
I've seen it backfire horribly for a friend and wouldn't think of doing this to anyone.
The fact that they did this to an abuse survivor makes it worse.
MOO.

yep but not just family.

Your accusers. AKA victims.

Vindictive cruel and cunning.

What did Mary do the entire call.

Apologise and empathise and defuse.

And record the call for LE.

Exactly what an intelligent compassionate normal human being would do.

Keep digging CW and DW. It only helps build the case against them.

Mary didn't ask them to call her. Let's not forget that part either.

This ^^^
If a victim victimizes others, it makes it difficult to empathize with them.
Imo.

Maybe she liked to play in them? We had a shed on our property when I was little, and I sure did like to play in it. She could have fallen asleep in one of them. I mean, as a parent, I would surely check sheds and all vehicle trunks, and the creek area.
I thought she never goes past the swing though. So which is it? MOO

Again we don't know, but the story feels off somehow.
None of the videos in the media thread show helicopter parenting.
And Summer is off here and there, playing by herself with no one taking her by the hand and 'walking' her anywhere.
Imo.

Just as a general observation and directed at no one in particular : There's a term called 'gaslighting' that can sometimes become applicable.
MOO.
