Boy From the Woods

This past Tuesday evening, NCIS had a storyline about a woman who was actually 27 y.o. but claimed to be 16. She had lived in different foster homes in different towns, but would run away before her "18th" birthday. She had been abused and beaten years before and could not face becoming an adult. Subconsciously she wanted to remain a child in a loving home.
Could this boy be older and just not ready to face adulthood?

Law & Order SVU had the exact story line a couple of years ago.

That was probably based on the case of Treva Throneberry.

Humans are interesting....

Amazing how dysfunctional, dangerous families pick out one person to 'send off' to the mental hospital, when they are just as disturbed, if not more so.

Right?

People be cra cra as the person they 302.

It's sad. Sometimes I tell my brother's 302 me! It'd be a Flippin vacation. Oh well oh no, no! Why? They'd have to take care of mommy.

Maybe I'll go the Treva route? Love her name.

What an intriguing story! Never hear of her before.

fascinating
I wonder what's become of her
is she still in prison?

Click through to the Wikipedia article. There is a blog & Twitter with another name. Google is our friend!

I don't want to link, as this person has completed their sentence AFAIK.

I did scan the article. There's so much info that it was overwhelming so I didn't finish reading it. I have a hard time with large blocks of text. The Wikipedia doesn't seem to have an update, just that she served two years and was released.
