I don't know. There were likely cops everywhere looking for Rafferty since his car wasn't at his mom's and he had a gazillion girlfriends who he could have been with at any given time. I think she was in the dark. Her car was taken and her computer too. JMO

On April 8th, he responded to a mental health concern.

Stec queried the plate BBNR 181, which he saw south of Woodstock.

RaffertyLFP: Stec is OPP based in Tillsonburg He was on way to Woodstock on a call when he spotted a car on April 8 with a plate registered to Rafferty

Vehicle was registered to Rafferty.

He was on Highway 59 (turns into Norwich Ave.). Nothing in police records indicated he should stop the vehicle. No more questions

I am far behind and this has probably already been discussed - but I wonder if this officer had not been on his way to a call, if he would have stopped MR at this point? Calls the license in and it comes back clean so he continues on to answer the existing call.

What made him call the license in to begin with? He says he doesn't remember, but I would think there had to be something that really seemed otu of place for the officer to call in the license plate, when he was already enroute to a call, kwim? Generally when they are working on something, they finish that before they get distracted by something else.

That was something i posted about several threads back. Rafferty and shoes??? Not sure why but it strikes me as one of the oddest things. I have to admit it makes me laugh. One of the few things laughable. Who buys a woman he barely knows a pr. of running shoes? Odd gift. If the La Senza bag contained La Senza I have this mental picture of it with a pr. of Pumas ROFLMAO. Perhaps i am just weary tonight LOL

MR seems to be obsessed with shoes like some women are. Wow at least six pairs in the back of his car? How many at his mom's? Did he leave any at girlfriends places? Plus in his gym bag? He loaned TLM a pair from his bag and he himself put a pair on from his gym bag...sheesh Imelda Marcos the male version hahaha.

hmmm just before midnight, IIRC didn't they get back to woodstock between 9 and 10pm....Is Hwy 59 south a direction he would use to be heading home, just coming back into Woodstock or to TLM's house????

If the media reported this correctly, this goes to show that alot detail gets left out when tweeting us the news.

If your going south on hwy 59 you are leaving Woodstock...If your from Woodstock and your going south on 59 at night there has to be a reason. Its Way out of the area where MR lived...Not to mention a a secluded back road (cedar line) in an area known as the Sweaburg Swamp, which would be a perfect area to dispose of items etc.

Also, there just happens to be an auto wrecker located on the west side of hwy 59 south if you go west on old stage road....

Police set up speed traps regularly at night just outside of Woodstock on HWY 59 across from Oxford Sand and Gravel since it is a 60km/h zone before it changes to an 80. Did they say specifically where on 59 they spotted his car???

I think they do it a lot. I know I would: stop at a red, snoop (legally) on the guy in front of me. Fun.

A buddy of mine who was a police office said they also would run the plates of cute women as well, so not just cars that are beaters get the plate run!

Was the Cambridge Hotel Sign mentioned as the place TLM testified to seeing the sign, when they went to the carwash, or am I losing it?

As for the phone, I think they are also showing chain of custody. His phone at the time of her murder was now in the possession of RIM for repairs.
Are we sure they did not transfer his data to the loaner?

This isn't near the murder site at all. This is south of Woodstock. If MR had dropped TLM at her home, he would have left Woodstock to get to this area.

Nope luckily lol, I found it quite amusing actually. I was showing everyone in class the next day. Not long after some girl was sending texts and I was like sorry wrong number. She apologized, then right after sent me another text, i sent one back letting her know it was still the wrong number . BTW were are our smilies?

I have to be honest I think the only way he is going to be able to save himself if he is not guilty is to take the stand. I really don't think he will save himself unless he does.

To be honest and JMO I don't think that will even save him. Too much evidence and everyone's testimony is lining up very nicely with TLM's testimony. It's all coming together quite nicely.

If so, why didn't the Crown ask? or what time?

If LE spotted MR's car..........south of the 401 interchange.......TLM has some explaining to do.

If it was spotted anywhere else on Norwich.........so what.........MR lives in that area.

I don't get this testimony yet.

I believe Cedar st turns into Norwich ave at the lights by Heart FM, then continues over the 401 overpass until you come to Pattullo Ave, where the highway would start, are they setting up the case that MR could have been out by the auto wreckers looking for a new seat for his car?? Cop spotted him on his way back into town, perhaps getting the plate number while stopped at the lights by Pattullo?

from the last tweet here, it makes me wonder why they met in a parking lot....especially when he was giving her a gift from LaSenza....odd place to give your gf a gift like that.....wonder if he was starting to creep her out!!!

Good point flip. Maybe MR was inviting himself over to her place and she wanted nothing to do with that. She probably made up some excuse she was out and about shopping and wouldn't be home until late. He was probably hoping she would invite him to stay the night so he could give her the LaSenza gift...gag. MOO

just think if LE didn't have TLM's statement that MR was involved in this does anyone think that the evidence that they have provided in court and to the public to date would be enough to not have the judge throw this case out.... JMO

I do. I remind myself to go slow, one foot in front of the other, and keep putting the puzzle together, piece by piece.

It is obvious to me that we are not getting ALL the information the jury is getting. Several articles this evening say the jury saw a printout of the calls made on April 8th, the day Tori disappeared - so the jury has more info than we do. Also, even though it was NOT tweeted, I feel confident that the jury know exactly where and what time the officer ran MR's plates.

Piece by piece - that's how it works.
- Video of MR's car passing the school and in the parking lot
- Evidence of the $400 withdrawal the morning of April 8th
- Video of TLM walking with Tori to the parking lot
- BA seeing TLM, but not Tori in the car
- The ATM stop for another $80
- The Home Depot stop
- TLM buying garbage bags and a hammer and paying cash
- The video of MR's car in the parking lot of Home Depot way back far from the front of the store......
- MR's familiarity (sp?) with the Mount Forest area
- the out of the way little lane, covered in snow
- the rock pile
- Tori's blood mixed with sperm
- Tori's blood mixed with MR's blood
- TLM's shoes found, along with another shoe that was thrown away
- The missing back seat
- The back seat in the garbage pile covered by a loveseat
- The scrap of fabric indicating the backseat was cut up
- MR's concern for TLM after she was arrested
- The receipt for and the actual box of hair dye
- MR's frosted tips
- The evidence of the sanding in the car
- MR's desire to be thought important with all he knew of the missing child

Yes, I am seeing a picture here. Even without TLM's testimony, the video would provide a very good starting point. Some might be explained by coincidence - but the list is too long to explain everything by coincidence or MR's lack of knowledge.
