Exactly what I thought. Be a good obedient girl *pat* *pat*. What a j**k. I realize TLM is the dredge of the earth but can you imagine being that deperate for someone to love you?

He interacted with TLM in a weird way ... I almost have to wonder if his mom patted his head like that; that patting the head represented affection or manipulation to him. For whatever reason, when he wanted to be sure that TLM kept her mouth shut, he patted her head like most people pat a dog.

How could anyone believe that this guy was duped ... his lawyer must be trying to score points for lawyering by defending this guy. There is no way that a real lawyer could actually believe this duped story.

That's what I thought too Otto, and she let him do it, Gawd!

Look at the way she walks ... she waddles with her head in all sorts of directions when she sees him, and she can't let go when he leaves - wandering to the window repeatedly long after he left. He's Mr Important with his impatience outside the detention centre ... in the footage, he appears to think that he is getting away with murder. Did his lawyer introduce the April 8 and 12 footage or was that from the prosecution? It should have been introduced by the prosecution as it's very damning for the suspected co-conspirator in the pedophilia abduction and murder.

He is anything but duped with his twirls and back-cracking uplifts ... he was bartering with her to keeping her mouth shut and all she got was a lousy magazine.

There's nothing to suggest to me that MR was in lust nevermind love. From what the motel video showed and now the detention center videos...TLM had big puppy dog eyes for MR and he knew it and used it to his advantage.

In lust? MR was not in lust with anything unless there was something in it for him. The 26 year old mom with five children that gave him $16,000 thought that he was exclusive with her and that marriage was their future. She was in lust. She was duped. TLM wasn't duped into the brutality of the murder, but she was duped into thinking that she meant something to MR ... she most likely thought that by giving MR what he wanted, he would love her more. That's what Karla Homolka said ... that she believed that if she gave her husband what he wanted (her virgin sister), he would love her more.

I agree that MR didn't care for her much.

The video in detention shows her appear to be asking for a hug, then she gets up and goes towards him. He does get up and give her a hug.......but it wasn't his idea.

Then when he is leaving and walking out, she goes up to him and walks backwards, in the "dance like" scene some have said. I think he just wanted to leave and was placating her.

All he wanted from her was her drug connections and maybe a little nookie now and then...........that's it.

As to the manipulation part.........I don't think he is nearly bright enough.

How is it possible that all he wanted from her was drug connections! He had commited a kidnapping and murder of a child with her one month earlier. He wanted her to keep her mouth shut more than anything and if he had to flirt with her to get what he wanted, he was prepared to do it ... on camera.

More than anything in the world, he wanted his accomplice to keep her mouth shut when she was in detention for a parole violation. He had his own drug connections and money funnels ... he wasn't visiting her in jail because he wanted some percocet or oxycontin pills.

Except that if she earned $17000 or more in 6 months, she wouldn't qualify for social assistance.

If she earned more than she declared from the escort income ($16,400), which was reportedly entirely handed over to MR, then she wouldn't be able to receive welfare ??? but if she earned $16,400 and gave it all to MR in gifts and bank transfers, then she wouldn't have to pay income tax for all of the money, or repay welfare?

So ... maybe she earned more ... but shouldn't MR pay tax on half of that income? The income would have had to be in the area of $31,000 with a 50-50% split before anyone would lose their $17,000 ceiling welfare benefit cutoff.

It's scary to see that a 26 year old woman with five children fell for the Rafferty line of "I'm seeking to better myself, I have several layers to my personality ..." and she handed over $16,400. That's a lot of extra cash for a single mom of 5 and a guy she met on a virtual pick-up joint.

I dont think its that much. When I was on maternity leave I was getting $245 for my daughter. There is not way its $700 per child. IMO

i know of a mother of 3 that gets 1200 month for child tax benefit, plus then her daddy money, and gst rebate; she quit her job because she makes more money sitting home and enjoys it more (her words). Then with a live in boyfriend. Oh yes this is our tax dollars at work. JMO So assumingly then her benefits went up when stopped working. Here is the chart. It is astonishing JMO Side note: She and bf went down south this winter. How many of us working stiffs not collecting these big benefits went south this year? JMO
