A similar drama was unfolding this week in Rosenberg, Tex., more than an hour’s drive southwest of Houston. There, Lashunder Smith, 43, a nursing home worker, has been hoping to hear something about her daughter, Alexzandra Smith, 23.

The missing-person flier posted by the police says that Alexzandra last communicated with her mother on Facebook on Aug. 25, around the time Harvey slammed into the Texas coast. She had told her mother she was at the Greenspoint Mall, on the north side of town. Her younger sister Ashlee Smith, 15, with whom she stayed in close touch, has not heard from her either.

On Tuesday evening, Ms. Smith and her younger daughter were holed up in their modest apartment. The floodwater had not reached the place, but a group of children were in the parking lot, jousting with fallen palm fronds.
Ms. Smith, through tears, said that her elder daughter had been working at a group home for children in Houston, but recently left that job. She did not know where she was staying. She showed a photo of Alexzandra’s dark blue Crown Victoria sedan, with big rims. She showed her daughter’s high school diploma.

And she showed photo after photo of Alexzandra herself, with big cheeks and sleepy eyes. “If you look at her picture she looks like a big ol’ doll,” she said. They called her Dolly.

Bumping for Alexzandra, as her two-year anniversary approaches...

This is saying found safe back in 2017 Texas Center for the Missing
Since this information is not from LE or from MSM, her thread can't be marked as found. But, I am so relieved to hear this. Her mother seemed so vocal about her daughter missing, and then no more mention about it. I read Alexzandra's mother FB page, and all the FB pages of all the relatives. I felt that someone would have mentioned something if Alexzandra was still missing!
