Child abduction murderers have the highest probablility of becoming serial offenders compared to all other subtypes.

The MO in these cases (which is dynamic and will usually change in almost all other cases) doesnt much in these abduction murder cases.

That taken in woth other factors Ill list if people want, indicate a high likelihood that this individual may have re-offended in the sme manner

Look into similar abduction homicides, where a female victim was grabbed off the street , and especially the same manner of death.

Dont try to assign it to a specific known offender or youll start to tailor the offender characteristics to fit the case, always look at the evidence

The majority of the time (with very little variance) these cases, which are exceedingly rare , follow a certain set of criteria.

Both Amber and JS suffered wounds to the neck.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office today ruled the death of the girl, Amber Hagerman, a homicide, and said the cause of death was "cut wounds to the throat," said Dee Anderson a spokesman for the police.

True however , JS was abducted from her bedroom, by DB, wo was out riding around that night , she was also left where she was assaulted, by DB who assumed whe was dead.

Though it cant be eliminated, there were other known killers operating in the area at that time

Tommy Lynn Sells was still roaming around Texas Terapon Ahahan who was questioned in Ambers murder, after raping 2 girls killing 1 in Washington was questioned as well not to mention how many we dont know , but we know Texas has had its share.

I feel youre looking for something more along the line of what happened to Laura Smither a year later, abducted while jogging , listed as a Killing fields victim, her body was found decapitated, however its unclear whether or not this was the cause of death or a result of decomposition and animal activity

Her body was also found in a body of water

Look for opportunity grabs off the street, where the victims were killed in similar manner .

I am very familiar with the area in Arlington that Amber was taken from and somewhat familiar with the area she ended up in. I believe the perp was also very familiar with those areas in order to grab her and subdue her while navigating. The creek she ended up in is in a remote area behind an apt complex and from A to B is a complicated route unless you know where you are going, IMO.

Good thoughts. I still think it is possible although the offender was not local but just very good and very quick at surveying terrain in a military style way.

By any chance, would you know if there were any male strip clubs (La Bare, etc.) in Arlington at the time? I ask because a man who looks to me to be a pretty good suspect was working at a strip club at the time, I think in Arlington but I need to be sure.

I have thought from the time of Amber's murder ( I live locally, btw) that her case was connected with Opal Jo Jennings and Ashley Estell. The presumed murderers of both were convicted. Both are very, shaky convictions and many think both men are not guilty of those crimes. I have not dug into as much as I would like to but it's interesting if anyone wants to take a look.

Michael Blair - Innocence Project

Blair was exonerated for the murder of Ashley Estell in 2008 thru DNA testing.
"Additionally, DNA testing conducted by the state on clothing from the victim pointed to the possible involvement of a man, now deceased, who was a suspect at the time of crime."
Wonder who the deceased is/was? IMO the case against the alleged killer of Opal was definitely shakey, as you stated. Rickey Lee Franks received a life sentence without forensic evidence. A deceptive lie detector and an off-the-wall confession coupled with an inmates testimony and a suspicious probation officer, sealed his fate.
Opal's COD was determined to be a blow to the head, while Ashley's fate was strangulation. Amber's COD was multiple stab wounds to the neck area.

In seeing where she was recovered and her body by the apartment can it be possible to inquire about those who lived at the apartments at the time. Also this person if he looked white or possibly Hispanic is hard to tell because we live in Texas and there are a lot of Hispanics who look white. What does an FBI profile say about this person? Any police reports during that time frame of sexual assaults and possible kidnappings in and around the area at least 50 miles our from the town. Anyone within that year of Amber's murder get arrested for attempted/ confirmed sexual assaults same motive as Amber's killing.
It has been long enough she deserves justice so she can rest in peace and most of all we put that person or person behind bars and finally bring closure to Amber's family with the truth of what happend.
