Found Deceased TX - Corbin Stiefer, 21, very ill, Tyler, 06 Jan 2021

Crohn's can definitely take a toll on one's body and mind. My 21 year old daughter was diagnosed at 17. Since her diagnosis there have been ups, downs, surgeries, obstacles...the weight doesn't surprise me. My daughter had to be put on a liquid diet 2x now. The first time she went from being 143 lbs (she's 5'11") down to 112. The second time it was due to having 18" of small intestine removed and having an ostomy bag for 7 months. She also was told by her GI specialist that she needed to defer a semester from college...which ultimately turned into 2 semesters.

All that being said, watching it happen to your child makes you feel helpless. I can't even imagine having to actually physically experience it. I hope he is found safe and well! This disease is known to cause major depression, especially at that age. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him and his family.

And to anyone on here that knows him, there are so many online forums that he can find to chat with people going through the same sort of issues. They really helped my daughter. In fact, if all goes well with this case, if interested, feel free to PM me and I can provide some online support info and my daughter would even be willing to be an ear whether he want to text, email, whatever. She's been there. She still struggles. She has a home health nurse who comes to our house every 4 weeks to give her remicade infusions. I truly feel for him amd his family...many many prayers!!!

Officials locate vehicle of missing Tyler man | cbs19.tv

Missing Tyler man’s vehicle located Tuesday off Toll 49; search underway

CBS19 was on hand Tuesday as officials located and towed the vehicle of Corbin Stiefer, 21. The car was found in the 8300 block of County Road 1150, also known as Baron Verner Road, near Toll 49.

His father, Jeff Stiefer, says that the car was in the area at least since Saturday. Neighbors in the area told him that they saw the car running but thought nothing of it.
Does anyone else find it striking the neighbors said they saw the car “running”? Was Corbin in or near the car at the time? Door(s) open or closed suggesting someone had gotten out and was nearby?

Did any of the neighbors see it more than once as in drove by, oh that car is still there? Was it still running?

Oh no! My heart goes out to Corbin’s family. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed Rest In Peace. Amen

Very sad outcome. The mother noted that he was very down about his illness, I think he may have reached a breaking point.

I apologize for my earlier remark speculating about mental illness or addiction. It's relatively unusual to see a family keep a medical diagnosis private as long as this one did, but I didn't mean to offend anyone.

My heart goes out to people like Corbin. Most of us have never lived with a painful chronic illness and can't truly understand what it's like.

I agree and can attest that when that pain/chronic illness starts to spill over in your life and starts preventing you from doing or enjoying the things you love, you can start to feel hopeless. When the things you define yourself by are no longer because something out of your control takes that from you, all of a sudden you start to question what the point is anymore. You start to wonder if all the hard work you did to get where you are was for nothing. You question your purpose all on top of already feeling miserable. It really is miserable when you feel sick or when every activity is painful. When you can’t hardly do even the little things you used to take for granted.

how accurate you are with your comment. And it’s so hard to understand until you’ve been there yourself. And then it feels like it’s too late at that point. Hug your loved ones tight and let them know they still provide a purpose even if they don’t see it yet.
