Deundrea Ford, 21, was last seen on camera getting into a white van with a customer outside the Diva's Bikini Sports Bar off the East Freeway near Federal Road on September 21 around 1 a.m.

Ford's uncle, KC, says she had been working at the bar as a dancer for only a few weeks. He saw the bar's surveillance video himself and says it shows Ford and the customer sitting in the van for a little over an hour before driving off in a direction where the club doesn't have cameras.

A friend received a call from Ford around 2 a.m., but they were asleep and missed it. Calls to Ford remain unanswered. Her uncle says before she got in the van with the customer, that same man was seen talking to another staff member inside the bar for about 20 minutes, and they seemed to know each other.

"Why is the information on the girl so scarce to come about from the club? Why is someone this guy is interacting with alone with one of your waitresses?" asks Carriere

Family members said Ford worked at the bar for a few weeks, and workers are told to not leave with any customers, KHOU reported.

They were also able to obtain the address of the man she had left with, Bridgette told the Chronicle, though it is unclear how they were able to obtain that information.
Ford is pictured in an athleisure outfit.

But when they knocked on the door, Bridgette said, there was no answer

"We were able to see her interact with what looks to be a Hispanic individual," Kevin Carriere, her uncle, said. "He was buying her drinks. There were other females inside the establishment interacting with him, who seemed to have known him. Then, there is footage of them sitting in the van for maybe an hour, or so, before he just leaves."

While family members are not sure the cases are connected, Ford is the main witness in a capital murder case involving a former detention officer, Jarrell Wheeler.

Wheeler and three others were charged with capital murder in the death of Otis Parker in May. They were also charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and Ford is listed as the victim.

According to court documents, the murder was a planned robbery stemming from $1,500 that Ford and another dancer made while visiting clients in Louisiana.

According to the documents, Ford and another woman, 21-year-old Quitiana Taylor, traveled to Baton Rouge to work as dancers and prostitutes for clients brought to them by a man named Otis Parker on May 10. On May 18, Parker was driving the women home from Louisiana with the cash they made there.

Police say Taylor allegedly planned to rob Parker of $1,500 in cash. When the three drove to the Villa Americana Apartments on Selinsky Road, Parker was shot and killed. Ford was listed as a passenger in the front passenger seat.

Jamal Brown, 22, was listed as the shooter in the court documents. Jarrell Wheeler was listed as an accomplice, along with Taylor and 20-year-old Mariah Green.

Brown was killed a month later in a shootout with police. Wheeler, a former Harris County detention officer, and the other two suspects remain in jail.

“Her ride pulled up just when she was taking off with the van. The van took off with both the headlights and taillights off,” said the relative. “There’s video footage of a New Jersey license plate, but you can’t see the whole license. It’s not a passenger van; it’s a worker van.”

“An important detail is that her hair had just been braided that day, brand new and fresh, with really long braided extensions,” her relative noted.

This is upsetting, from the article linked above:

"However, Ford's uncle went to the bar and got the footage to turn over to the police."

She (Ford) is a witness to a murder. And this:

"Court documents reveal angry text messages from one of the suspects, referring to Ford. The text said, 'She ain't safe in Houston...at all.'"

From the link in quoted post above.

(Did she even leave the parking lot alive?? )

I think all we had was "white van" prior to this:

According to her family member who asked to not be identified by name, another dancer was the last person to see Ford as she exited the club with a male customer, and video footage captured Ford and the unidentified man getting into a white GMC Savana 3-door van. Her family told Oxygen.com that Ford called her ride — a friend of her grandmother — to inform them that someone else would take her home. But the family friend told her not to leave. ...

Oh dear…twists and turns. In no way does this end well. Too many red flags and too many predators even aside from the witness angle. I fear for her. Seems to be very little coverage on MSM, is everyone else seeing the same?

The minute they start talking about a “dancer” etc everyone goes “oh just another that deserved what she got”. Kills me. Makes me infuriated. This mother, daughter, human, deserves to be found. Why did the uncle have to get the footage?? Why hadn’t police?

We don't know what the police have done so far but from a legal perspective the business owner doesn't have to hand over the video to the police. The police could give notice to the business owner that the recordings are deemed to be evidence in a criminal investigation, and that they should be maintained as such (such as the business owner sequestering portions of the recordings so they don't auto erase after a set period of time). If the owner then erased the recordings or allowed them to be erased by recording over them, the owner could be charged with destroying evidence. But they don't HAVE to just give them up on request without a subpoena, (and getting a subpoena from the district attorney's office can take a little while).
Sometimes a business might be reluctant to turn them over to LE due to the possibility of unrelated illegal activities being recorded on the tapes (NOT saying that's the case here, but it can happen) or the privacy of their customers OR they might be willing to turn them over with the urging of the family realizing it's in their best interest due to media attention or goodwill in the community. In any case, if the police can get them, however it's done, it can all help find this young lady.
