I think the case is on hold while Harper appeals his conviction. From May 14, 2024:

Harper has since filed an appeal concerning the injury to child case, which has put the capital murder case on hold.

“The parties have submitted their briefs. We argued the case back in March, and we’re anxiously awaiting an opinion from the court,” defense attorney John Hunter said.

Hunter said it is common to appeal a sentence, and it can take a while to get a ruling back from the appeals court.

“If the state wins, then we’ll deal with the capital murder case,” De La Garza said. “If we lose, unfortunately, we’ll have to come back and retry that case again.”

A man found guilty and sentenced to 99 years in prison for severely beating his son is now awaiting to go to trial on a separate charge of capital murder of a child under 10.

7/15/24 Update: Status hearing was reset on 11/12/24.
TX – Infant (4 mos.) (July 12, 2018, San Antonio) – *Terrence Wayne Harper (30/now 34) arrested & charged (7/16/18), indicted (12/18/18) & arraigned (12/21/18) with causing serious injuries to a child (son). Plead not guilty. $150K bond. Was found guilty (12/22/22) & sentenced (12/5/22) to 99 years in prison.

His case for Ethan is DC2018CR13417 - the link goes to 416. If you post the correct link - maybe I won't have to bother you anymore.
But I do see his last hearing on the one you posted as 1/31/25 -hmmmm.... is there a case with 417 at the end?
