TX TX - Pecos Co, near US 285 & Ft Stockton, WhtFem 7-9, UP14971, partial skeletal remains, Dec'81

I hope someone will attempt to obtain DNA from the two sets of remains. Not only determining whether there was one or two girls found but also probably partially resolving a heart-breaking case.

Dessie Holt (1966-1974) - Find a Grave Memorial (Dessie's find a grave, assume 1974 is the date she went missing) Idk when the ID was made but no trace of her on Charley Project or similar.

There's this article about Dessie Holt's disappearance, it says her skeletal remains were found in December 5, 1981 but her mum couldn't make a positive ID. I think the lack of attention was bc they always knew who it was.

There were two NamUs profiles for little girls found in Pecos County, TX. One was UP14970 found on July 08, 1984 and the other UP14971 found on December 5, 1981.
UP14971 was removed last year, but UP14970 is still up. Maybe they were combined into one profile? Although UP14970 was not modified to reflect this..
