@Niner
I pm'd the local news station for Wichita Falls, Texas which is Texomas Homepage KFDX this morning and asked if they had a reporter at the Montague County Courthouse to cover the Joshua Fulbright trial and they replied back that Monday was jury selection but they were covering the trial. So I am assuming that the jury selection is ongoing or might have been seated yesterday by close of the day.

The Montague County Courthouse is located in Bowie, Texas and here is a link to the Bowie, Texas newspaper NEWS – Bowie News

Here's a link to Texomas Homepage KFDX https://www.texomashomepage.com/

Hopefully my links will work and that you may be able to access the two to keep updated if I slip and miss something. But I will do my best to post any updates as they become available.
Thanks for all of your work and time!

ETA I was including an h in Texomas

Thanks for the links - I can see both of them! I have bookmarked them.
So - I will just put jury selection continues for yesterday - hopefully they (reporters) will tell us how many men/women on the jury. I like to keep notes on that! :)
And a BIG THANKS for helping me keep this trial up-to-date!

One message read in court said, “She just got [explicit] up,” which was from Fulbright to Newsom.

At the end of September or early October, Newsom said she began to notice Olivia “wobbly and not as active.”

Facebook messages from October 15, the day Newsom took Olivia to the hospital, were read aloud. In the messages, Newsom expressed concern for Olivia and pleaded with Fulbright to leave work early so they could go to the hospital. According to the messages, Fulbright refused.

Messages between them continued as the two began discussing when they would take her to the hospital, the story would be that she was falling a lot and a dog would push her and knock her down

From day 3 of Joshua Fulbright's trial the state put the doctor that treated Olivia at Cook's Children Hospital on the stand.

" Dr. Popeck testified that she sees thousands of cases involving children every year, but Olivia Newsom’s case has stuck out in her mind since 2018.

“It’s just horrific,” Dr. Popeck testified. “She never had a chance to go to prom.”

From day 4 of the Joshua Fulbright trial. Catron is a defense witness. The prosecutor is questioning the witness

" Catron testified that what stood out to him was the lack of effect the child’s injuries seemed to have on Newsom and Fulbright, as well as their flat demeanor. He testified that what stood out to him about Fulbright was that he said he had slapped the child so hard, he thought he’d injured his own hand."

Court info from 12/2/19 thru 2/21/25 & Jury selection (2/24/25) & Trial Day 1-3 (2/25-2/27/25) reference post #216 here:

2/28/25 Friday, Trial Day 4: *DA Boggeman called the prosecution’s penultimate witness before temporarily resting its case. Boggeman intends to reopen the case on Monday, 3/3/25, to call the state’s final witness. The jury was released by Judge Coleman Byars so that a hearing could be held outside its presence regarding a witness the defense intended to call as an expert, Dr. David Sabine. On stand David Sabine, a psychologist based in Wichita Falls. Boggeman objected to Dr. Sabine being called by the defense as an expert, arguing that his analysis came almost six years after the alleged events that led to the death of the child. Boggeman also asserted that it was another improper attempt by the defense to impeach Sarah Newsom, the child’s mother & Fulbright’s co-defendant in this case. In his rebuttal, Barber argued that Sabine would be testifying regarding his opinions & that he shouldn’t be disqualified as an expert. Ultimately, Judge Coleman Byars did not rule on the prosecution’s objection, releasing Dr. Sabine from the stand. She notified counsel for both sides that she would make her ruling next week & that Dr. Sabine would be called to the stand on Tuesday if she ruled to allow him to testify as an expert in this case.
*Defense witnesses: Sgt. Jody Polvado, currently employed with the Midwestern State University Police Dept. He testified that he played a role in the early stages of the investigation. Crystal Wright, supervisor with Child Protective Services. John Catron, a former lieutenant with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, he responded to Clay County Hospital on the night the child was brought in.
*2/28/25 Docket update: Motion for witness fee-Barber. Order for witness fee.
Trial continues on Monday, 3/3/25.

*Sarah Elizabeth Newsom (23/now 29) “mom” – Announcement hearing on 3/10/25 & trial set to begin on 4/22/25.
